Wheel cap center logos

Was about to finalize the design for the “Jeep” center cap logos to restore my turbine wheel caps. The original label was a very typical reverse screen print on a piece of clear plastic. The “Jeep” lettering was clear but I wasn’t sure if the base that it glued to was chrome or silver. Just want to make sure I get the right color on the “Jeep” lettering. The new ones I’m making will have a super strong outdoor adhesive and a thick UV coating with UV stable ink. Any input on what these should have looked like new would be great

Hopefully someone with a NOS one will chime in as I have a few caps that need repaired. 
 

I am willing to bet they relied on the chrome behind the logo if the logo really is clear.

I think your right. The clear plastic has yellowed from the sun but here is a shot of the back side. You can see where the chrome plating from the turbine cap came off onto the backside of the badge

Sure looks like it. Sounds like a cheap AMC way to do it haha. I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for the production of these.

are you asking if the letters are chrome or silver?  if so, they are reflective enough that I'd call them chrome.  but they aren't a smooth surface if that matters.  more of an orange peel texture.

 

 

it's super hard to film it.

Quick update: here is a design I ended up setting on. These are a bubble design so they aren’t an exact replica of the turbine wheel caps. I have a sample batch of these I’m trying but I can make slight variations if anyone wants some.

Are these just the sticker that goes on the cap or the whole cap?  I'm missing a couple of the caps.

They are the center stickers that go on the caps. These are for my turbine caps but I can resize to fit others as well.

I'm a definite buyer for the size made for 10 hole Eliminator wheels.  The entire cap is approximately 64 mm in diameter.  The center part is approximately 43 mm.  Please let me know if you need more detail or better photos.

Is the 43mm portion removable? Maybe with a razor blade? If so, the design is very similar to the ones I’m making for the turbines. Is the lettering silver or chrome?

So do you want ones that look like the small pics or the larger one? Or do you want the larger one to just say Jeep instead of amx?

id prefer the larger one with "Jeep" scipt instead of AMX, also to fit 10 hole Eliminators

I am not sure about the smaller section being removable.  I hope someone that has messed with theirs before chimes in.

I’d love too. I have everything sourced, I’m just on a full on marathon build at the moment. These side projects have really gotten pushed to the back burner. Been trying to knock out some switch trim covers also. It will happen eventually though. I’m guessing maybe 2-3 months??
