Check your state laws.....

In IL, you only need a single mirror capable of viewing 500 ft. behind your rig. The windshield rearview meets this requirement.

Doorless ain't legal here (not like any of the rest of the truck is) so I don't worry about mirrors. They can be handy on the trail (watch the back tires) but nomally they just get destroyed.

i know i don't have to have them, problem is the truck i drive for work every day is a 22' box truck, so basically i drive with my mirrors, and i like to have them, and i can make them removeable i guess if i bought a couple of spare top hinges to mount them on...

never ran mirrors just the reAR view mirror. But like it's been said check laws. I never had a problem with the cops I even gotta thumps up on the highway. But technically if the vehicale came with mirrors then it is to have them. BUt you see Wranglers riding around with no doors and no mirrors. Hope that helps. But I also seen tube doors with built in mirrors otherwise :agree: just get a rain gutter one for those days with no doors. jamminz.gif
