Dave Vig
I have a question about the windshield on my 88 Comanche. It is leaking and I am wondering about the seal or gasket. Where can I get that gasket? And obviously a glass shop should be able to install it shouldn’t they. Hope this isn’t to dumb of a question thanks for any help David
1989commanche
They are glued in. As far as I remember no gasket. There is some trim on the front side
Dave Vig
That’s good to know I did not know that. I do see the trim on the outside and as far as the windshield goes. Is there any specific windshield I need to look for? or will a glass shop be able to decide that for me
rylee144
I ordered a rubber gasket for a cherokee and glass for a cherokee and the shop installed both. If they search mj parts they won't find any. At least my shop couldnt

ghetdjc320
I had Safelite do my windshield swap a few years back and they swapped in the 97+ XJ windshield and trim in. Turned out great and was like $250 installed.

The 97+ gaskets frunction as the trim, eliminating the bright metal around the windshield. in my book, this an improvement, since the metal trim will vibrate/rub and take the paint off the body, leading to rust. And, in my case, make an annoying clak-ca-clak-clak noise at highway speeds.
