91 5spd , 4.0 / 2wd .

Dinged all around , and is wrecked in the left front . Going to also need floors fixed , but definitely worth saving.

It is a sister to mine. Same trim, color, year, drivetrain... Except you got the cooler vinyl.

Eliminator with 3 black flares? Seems odd. I thought all Eliminators had body colored flares.

They painted over the red , I installed the left fender /flare

Of course they did. The body color flares make it look so much better.

I'm guessing they were badly pitted , when I strip them I'll find out for sure .

I've always prefered black flares on MJs, that's why I replaced the flares on both my Pioneers (see siganture links).

Pictures that were sent to me before I bought it, forgot to post them.

 So the first thing I wanted to do was work on the left front damage. So I hung the fender and header panel to see how far the front apron  was going to be out. It's not too far off , But I'm going have to take it to the body shop I used to work at and have them make a small pull on it.

Next thing I did was give it a tuneup. Not sure exactly how long it's been sitting but it definitely had a miss. Plugs,wires,cap,rotor, fuel filter,fresh oil and filter . I bought 97+ heater hoses and will flush the antifreeze when I replace them . Runs much better now . 

 

Rock auto had a closeout on gabriel shocks so I bought all 4 and will be installing them at the same time I do brakes /suspension.

I asked the seller if it had any rust issues and he said there wasn't any, well I disagree. The passenger side is in good shape , the driver side needs help .

I was fortunate enough to find some clean floors years ago and will be using those for patches. That's basically where I'm at right now.

I thought 10 hole wheels with rivets were an ‘88-‘90 Eliminator thing.

The date code on the inside of the wheel is 8/91 , I may be wrong though. It wouldn't be the first time I was wrong lol

if nothing else, replacement wheels would still have been made for a bit.

just checked my 91 dealership brochure and, for what it's worth, it shows the rivet wheels.

91 eliminator had riveted wheels. My 91 Eliminator came that way. I think the 92 didn't, Just holes no rivets.

 Between work and the weather I haven't had much time to work on anything. I  did manage to do a couple things though. Got the wheels and tires mounted, while I was up underneath there I cleaned and painted some of the suspension as well. The brakes were good in the rear and I plan on doing pads and rotors in the front. Also four new shocks were installed, the old shocks were original from 91 lol .

Started to work on the driver side floor. I was fortunate enough to find a 98 Cherokee with super clean floors and cut some patch panels out. I have new floor pans to install , but the pans wouldn't reach the rusted areas. I only had time to get this one panel installed , plus I ran out of wire . I did start fitting the pan though .

You do great work! Any particular reason that you went with an All Terrain on this truck?
