Cutdown a Tacoma Beast mid height bedrack Smittybilt RTT Highlift jack Best MJ story- So far this truck has been in pieces for 80% of the time I’ve owned it. Originally, I was looking for an MJ with intentions of building and driving out to Moab. I’m a year late but learned a lot while building the rig. I’ve taken it to Windrock park, TN and Cape Lookout, NC so far. Everywhere I go, people walk up to me and complement me on it. CC is Awesome! Why? During my build, several people offered advice and I’m thankful. Everyone on CC has been helpful and I’ve never seen anyone flame another for their decisions. billyblankss
Love going back through MJOTM posts and this truck slaps. Had a couple questions for you, - what is the thing on your hood in the first picture? looks like something... on the front corner of the hood - I see in some of the pictures you have the bushwacker flares, but in others it's naked with the dirtbound panels - do you normally run flares or no? I'm trying to problem solve for my truck, bought the ARES bed armor and trying to figure out if i need flares - what was your favorite mod and maybe a separate question what was the most useful mod, or the one you noticed made the most improvement? Thank you! I don’t have anything on the hood. Have a punisher Jeep symbol, that’s it. I’m using self tapping screws to make the flares removeable. Due to the body protection panels, I can use self tapping screw and a cordless drill on the trail to quickly remove the flares for travel. If you plans on traveling through many states, get flares of some type. I bought mine with a lift installed previously. My first purchases after the vehicle were bumpers, winch, sliders and protection panels before axles, lockers and lights. Another item is to go through cruisers tips, this doesn’t cost much but freshenes alot of possible issues.
