I had and issue like that back in March. Quickly prompted me to tear everything out, patch up the floor on the drivers side(nice clean frame rail though) and replace the door weather strips. Seemed to have solved my problem after rigorous drenching to see if it would leak again anywhere else before installing the interior again.

my 86 would pool like that from the windshield leak.  fortunately the floor was bad enough that it couldn't get very deep.

No need to stop a leak when you just don't have floors

Yeah I patched all my leaks to my knowledge. This pool was from the antenna boot not being in place. I was going to seal it off completely with Rtv but you have to be 18 to buy it for some dumb reason so that didn't happen

WTH?! Thats a first by me. Spray paint I get. But RTV? Who, how and why?

Aside from that I don't get how rain leaks from that hole for the antenna wire. But all I can think is it would have to be something slow like water running down the wire but even then the boot would still have to stop it whether its in the panel or not. But I also live somewhere where water is surprisingly not the same value as gold yet.

This is why I can't seem to get a sentence out of my mouth without mentioning water leaks. Kind of like Cato the Elder: "blah blah blah, and furthermore, leak test your MJ"

Yours might be a little bit of an extreme example, but anyone who has not leak tested their truck likely has this going on under their carpet and probably won't even know about it until they notice a musty smell or their floors are gone from under them. Forget about salt, at least you can SEE the damage from salt before it's too late. And it's a serious problem unless it hasn't rained in 25 years where you live.

Mine is like that, which it is in my garage until I can get the door seals and windshield replaced. After that, then I will start searching for leaks. Mine is a slow leak on the passenger side, the driver side will fill up 2 inches overnight.

Ahh yes, that antenna grommet leak. I cut an extra floor plug I had laying around and used some marine sealant (I work on Jet Skis on the side).

Yep my boot is there still it just fell out and all the water draining from the cowl hitched a ride on the wire straight into my truck
