bed crane

has anyone used one of these bed cranes before? I really want one so i can lift maybe an engine or axle into my mj if i need to.  I was thinking of tying it into the unibody/frame  with some big square U bolts and 1/2" plate along with maybe a hitch plate on that side.... I like that its pretty much hidden until you need to use it.

I had one on a full size. It worked okay. The arm just wasn't long enough to be truly useful.

 I was thinking about this. I might have to remove the tailgate when using it. sometimes my boss has me deliver transmissions and transfer cases I suppose it would be useful for loading a transmission to save my back.

I think my mj had a big one in it. Right at the back of the bed there's 4 bolt holes spaced out pretty far. Thats my only guess on what it could of been there

i have one i paid $20 and love it. works best with a solid mount. i had it on my ford first and will have it on this ford once get flat bed . they are very nice for lifting. some have a some electric winch to help which i may do myself. but worth it if moving heavy parts around.

I have on on a trailer as well

I changed the hand winch to a 12 volt winch so when i go on part runs i can drag the diffs out of the bush then onto the trailer by myself.....don't know why the pic is blurry
