I was bummed that the code that brings up "2nd gen air bags" in the VIN registry wasn't on the sheet.

Thanks for catching that, I updated the attachment (v02)

I tried OCRing it (I had my doubts) and it didn't work so I hand entered it.

Luckily I'm salaried and get paid to get my projects completed, if there's down time I can do what I want.

so this won't work for all of the years.  just found a 91 with a code that isn't in the list.    We need more sheets!

@Red Mistress I know you have a lot of Jeep literature, do you have any original code lists like this?

Didn't we start a project a long time ago to have people scan their build sheets and post them in a central post for reference? If not, we should. Then any missing codes could be added into the master list.

 

But, to be accurate, we would need actual build sheets that people find under the seat or in the door panel. I have had my dealership print out build sheets for used XJs and MJs for me, and some of the codes showed things that were never available on an XJ or MJ. Daimler|Chrysler apparently recycled codes, so there may be some overlap.
