Pete M Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 the little black things. headlight sprayers? It's an old image of a european MJ.
Dzimm Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 That's kind of what they look like. Does Europe have a weird requirement for something like that?
JMO413 Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 Deer whistles that they mounted wrong? They call them elephant whistles in the body shop beacuse we've never seen one hit an elephant with them installed.

Haha if only they marketed them properly... https://giphy.com/gifs/natgeowild-wild-nat-geo-animals-gone-l41YANsiJxTduTe00 I really can't think of anything else those things could be..
Pete M Posted October 7, 2019 Author Posted October 7, 2019 the pic was sent out to newspapers in part of the early ad campaign. somehow I doubt they are the deer whistles you buy at the gas station. my guess is headlight sprayers. I've seen them on other european cars. (sometimes with tiny wipers too!)
Dzimm Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 Any info on the ad campaign at all? May lead to more info
JMO413 Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 I'm guessing your right Pete. I googled headlight washers UK and they have had them since 72. Would would have guessed they had them that far back.

Dzimm Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 This may have the answer in it and would just be cool to have. Was thinking about buying it but the currency exchange doesn't work in our favor. https://www.abebooks.co.uk/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=13395268588&searchurl=an%3Dr.m%2Bclarke%26sortby%3D17%26tn%3Djeep%2Bcherokee%2Bcomanche%2Bpickups

SuperSwede Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 It's a Swedish registered Jeep fairly close to my home, and one of few still in traffic Swedish regulations demanded washers for some years, to day they don't. Ugly and not that useful...
Manche757 Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 What's the round thing on the front fender near the top corner of the fender flare? To turn alarm system on or off maybe?

SuperSwede Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Yep, another Swedish demand as well as that all turn signals has to be orange, front, side and tail..

Kjell Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Quick fix by importer Have modified the reverse light to turn signal and use a orange bulb
SuperSwede Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Earlier all non European imported cars (Without amber tail turn signals) got some extra ugly turn signal mounted under the original tail light. Otherwise not approved for driving on Swedish roads.. Today we got led lamps where you can change color or double colored leds in one socket, in this case backlight and turn signal i the same socket
