I am going to be picking up a 1987 Jeep Comanche 4.0 l6 - it is running rough at idle but seems to be fine once you give it some gas... any thoughts on what could be wrong??

Make sure the intake manifold nuts aren't loose among a host of other things. Get it home and we'll give you some guidance then.

Cruiser's Renix tips ^^^ will sort you out.

It's tough to diagnose anything like that without the truck in front of someone, but I doubt it's going to be something too difficult.

Once you have it in hand, do a basic tuneup (spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor), change fluids, etc, line you should on a used vehicle purchase with unknown history, then start working your way through the Cruiser's tips. www.cruiser54.com.

Its too bad we've got to jump on a new member like that, even if we can't really pinpoint an exact answer to his issue with what we have.

As soon as you get it home, we'll get our 3 best guys to brainstorm this with you.
