Teamcherokee.com has them for about $40. There oem as well which for me seemed like a okay deal

I ordered one from them. Expect to pay the same amount before their sale as shipping is a dog. It doesn’t help when you don’t have any of the attaching bolts. But I’ll figure out that later.

Yeah the shipping was basically the same cost as the skid plate which took my by surprise. And I didn’t even think about mounting bolts I just thought it would mount to existing bolts. Just have to see what I come up with when it comes in. Still I like the idea of having a new oem skid

Front skid mounts onto threaded posts in the front using 3 nuts. Then uses 2 bolts in the rear just behind the sway bar mounts.

Did you have to clearance anywhere for your track bar? Mine is hitting and I need to look at it.

On those last last two pictures are those pins for sway bar disconnect storage?

Does one have to use the factory tow hooks to use the front skid?

Nope.  They are completely independent.

Yes ...sorta. Originally, I had those pins mounted on the outboard side of the skid plate and they worked great for disco storage.  Then I moved to bigger tires and they contacted the rubber when flexing so I flipped them inboard. Now I just use them to hold extra ring pins. If had to do it over again I would've just mounted the pins higher up on the frame with self tapping fasteners.

Just got my skid plate from teamcherokee and to my surprise it’s not a OEM skid but a rugged ridge reproduction. Just be aware if you order from them as I was expecting it to be OEM since that’s how they advertised it. With that said I’m pretty happy with it, seems pretty heavy duty.

Is even any skid plate made anymore for our trucks? Oh hell, a skid plate is a skid plate. Still nice to get a skid plate for the front if you are looking for front protection. kinda odd to advertise it as OEM but whatever. Glad to have payed less than what they were asking.
