transfer case linkage

guys, with out breaking the bank, whats my best options as far as new t-case linkage goes? mine's old tired, rusty, and hasn't seen 4 low in a while.

Make one out of hardware store junk.

PB Blaster, bronze wire brush, lithium spray lube.

That's what I'm going with. Boost stuff wouldn't work since the 96 np242 is off enough to where it won't engage. Was on the phone/email with the owner over an entire weekend trying to figure it out.

Went to engage 4WD for the first time since getting my truck back … this happened. 

 

Not my truck. Found the pic online, but exactly what it looks like.  The pointed shaft popped out.   What's the fix, so it doesn't continue to happen?

Either a trans mount or motor mount has failed
