1993-1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee body parts and 5speed swap

I have a 1993-1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I will be parting out less the engine. The jeep does have an external slave ax-15 in it that will also be available if someone wants to buy the whole set up trans transfer case drive shafts and pedal assembly I would like $850 pulled out ready for pickup. Or just the ax-15 for $700. Body parts $75 per fender $125 per door pulled have two good sets of doors and fenders one green one purple. Call or text for any other parts you might need.

so apparently this grand cherokee has a ax-15 in it, with the 5 speed manual and transfer case, will this work for my renix 89 comanche 2wd, 5 speed, for a 4x4 swap?   :dunno:  :???:  . :MJ 1: .

This is interesting. Usually I wouldn't care about sacrificing another vehicle to keep a rare-ish one like an MJ going. But for something as uncommon as a 5-speed ZJ, I'd need to think long and hard. Even it it's already started being parted out.

All of my AX-15 swap parts came out of a 1993 ZJ that I found at the pick a part.  Sad thing was, it was in really good shape.  From what I could tell it was in the yard due to a blown head gasket (lots of coolant in the oil).  The body was very rust free and the interior would have been perfect with lots of cleaning.

89 would have BA trans correct? You will still need to source a XJ AX15 cross member if I'm not mistaken

This^  You can also search car-part.com for an MJ AX-15 crossmember.  I did this and got mine for $60 shipped to my house.

Also, if you have a BA10 trans, you will need the backing/inspection plate thatsits between the engine and bellhousing.  Then obviously the trans and transfer case with all of the shift linkage for the T-case.  The 4wd shifter as well.   Not sure if the ZJ front driveshaft is the same as an XJ/MJ, but you will want that as well.

XJ cross member work? I used on in my MJ, but the NV3550 is tucked up a bit high. Then again I might have used the BA one. I think the ZJ is an inch or so longer. I did a HnT on my XJ. That did come up in discussion, but should be checked.

No one has mentioned the front axle.  Is that part of the package?  If not, I think $850 is steep for just a trans and tcase.  If you get the whole ZJ, sans engine, then maybe.  You can part out whats left to recoup your money.

And the pedal assembly and I'm guessing the shifter bezels and whatnot too. As it said the whole swap
