33x10.5x15 BFG All-Terrain T/A KO Tires

Recommended Posts

Your trucks must run like $#!&........jeeesh........

A 12.50 should be on a 10" wheel......amazing........and at 10lbs>>>>????????

Good way to roll on off at 70mph on a curve.

No, I don't' fall into the trap of group think.

One wheel dealer tried to convince me to buy 8" wheels........I paid my money to different dealer.

Just because people do it doesn't make it right.

When the tire manufacturer publishes the min / max wheel widths, that's good enough for me. You are posting extreme examples; wheel widths under and over the manufacturers recommended minimum and maximum. Of course that's dead wrong, and I wouldn't do it for a road vehicle.

I understand.

My tires.......min 8" to max 10"................9" is optimum.

Why not optimum?????

For clarity I run 30psi on the highway, and 10psi off road. The chalk test would have me using just over 27 psi on these tires.

Please don't compare me to a street car, it was built for the trail first, and to get me to work second.

My methods are tried and true, and have been in use for damn near three decades by myself and others, no tires blew up causing the death of twelve busloads of innocent kindergarten kids. The world did not end, hell did not freeze over, I just got to work periodically, and some trails were conquered.

Would I do the same thing on a Honda? No, and currently the MJ is street bound and acts accordingly.

And this was 20psi 'cause I was being lazy and didn't want to have to air up later when I drove home.

I'm guessing that would be because he'd like to keep his turbine rims.  . :MJ 1: .

Good guess Pete.

In screwing around looking at every angle, the 33x10.50x15 BFGs are going to rub slightly unless I do some minor trimming. The "corner" of the 33 tire will just rub on the lower front flare nubs when turning. Elsewhere all is fine front and rear. Now it's just a matter of deciding if I want to do this or not...

They will also rub the rear of the front wheel wells. There is a tab that sticks out front the inner fender that will catch the tire when you turn. If it was mine I would leave the 31s on it. 33s bring so many more issues than you really want. The fuel mileage and power loss are the two biggies for me.

You screwed up now Incommando. Murphy is going to go off his meds and lose it. Get ready for it, lol!

No, everyone here is pretty decent but you.

And you think that you can $#!& on the floor anytime you want just because you have the power to clean it up.

Just like here and now.

Wheel size aside, I really like the look of a long box with a little lift on 31s. I'd say yours is the yard stick on that, Don.

Muchas gracias señor. I just wish I had 1/10 of your metal fab skills Ben.

   I got it! 31's on the front, 33's on the back!

Only if you run different diameter rims as well. 31x10.5x15 front & 255/75/17 on the back

Well, I was swapping wheels on the Comanche and ... Well ... I just couldn't stop myself ...

225/65R18 challenger/charger wheels front, 255/75r17 JK tires on charger 2535's rear.

But as for fitment, the 255/75R17's sit right at the edge of the flare, and actually look like they belong there. They do measure out to a 32" tire though. And I'll probably add another Inch to the front lift. I can go grab a good corner shot, should be enough light yet.

Got one -

The tires look good front and rear in the last pic. But with the updated front clip, it effectively eliminates the most obvious rubbing point, the lower front flares. If someone still made a decent 32x10.50x15 tire that's not strictly an offroad tire, I think they would sell a crap load of them. Thanks for the pics.

You can get the size tire you want.....one that will fit.......but you have to go metric.

15" wheels just ain't where it's at anymore.

Some people think that just because one brand of tire of a certain size lists curtains specs for that size means that 1. That is the actual measurement of that tire instead of just the standard sum of the equation and that 2. Those specs are therefore universal for that "size" despite the manufacturer. I laugh. My Buckshots in that size measure over 32" either by level and plumb or string roll out
