Pete M
was bored so I started some preliminary hunting for a good XJ for my uncles project and of course that meant wading through craiglist ads. here are some from today that left me shaking my noggin'. :shake: this title cracks me up every time :rotf: "jeep 98grand. Cherokee London 4times4" this XJ is for sale in georgia... right now, not 6 months ago... apparently the pic was snapped on the one day of the year it snowed. a TJ ad said: "Done a transmission swap but transmission was the wrong kind so it'll run but not very fast" :dunno: it's listed as a manual. the always frustrating engine listing: "V6 incline 6" I'm hoping the words in this wrangler ad were mixed up with another ad: "This vehicle get around 40 mpg. Keyless entry and theft deterrent system. Power windows, mirrors, steering and locks. Salvage title because car was struck in rear bumper which was professionally repaired with original mazda parts." THIS is the best pic you have of your jeep?! and the odo entry says 18000000. ya know, your phone still takes pictures if you rotated it sideways. or are you showing off your awesome frontyard foliage? turn the dang phone and take a step closer! ...Swapped to Dana 55... and don't get me started on the incredible number of people who think their XJ is a "fullsize" suv. I sure hope that is some sort of default choice in the craigslist software. :fs1:
Incommando
Don't forget to search using misspellings. CherAkee is a common one. I always search for MJ parts as Comanchee and occasionally turn up things that others miss using correct search terms But yeah craigslist is is full of morons and scammers

Minuit
Just a reminder: these are the kind of people you share a road with. If mouthbreathers on CL don't care enough to spend the 5 seconds it takes to put together an at least somewhat coherent ad (or the 3 seconds it takes to photograph a vehicle properly) and use anything resembling language, I don't want to know how they treated the vehicle :soap box:
Wesleypipesyo
Please do not forget the folks who have the v6 in their TJ's.

Alexia
Pete, you should totally buy this one... http://huntsville.craigslist.org/cto/5057054504.html I mean, I do not have any vested interested in selling that at all. Nope, definitely not mine. :)

Alexia
$5K and hail damage........no thanks. Can not actually post what real price that one wishes to be paid on Craigslist. That just attracts the scummy low-low ballers.
