The top link for the $18,000 Comanche, Thats a bit too much. If I was going to make an offer, I would offer ~$12,000. It does NOT even have a windshield.. :)

The next one for $20,000. Thats just NUTS! I don't think you can even get that for the used parts. Don't get me wrong, there are some hi-dollar parts in that pile of metal, but not ~$10,000 worth. And certainly not $20,000. If I was going to buy that, I'd offer less then $2000.00. My guess is his Wife told him to sell his toys. And he is listing them WAY up there, so nobody buys.

Yea I have a hard time believing that he is getting 300hp out of that 2.5, even the 4.0 stroked to a 4.7 still doesn't hit that mark.....

Dunno, what all has been done to this particular motor, but it is very possible as a matter of fact there is a pro lite class, strictly 4cyl 300+ HP granted very few are the inline 2.5 4cyl, but possible maybe why he has such a high price tag there may be 10k in motor alone?

Put 18 to 20 PSI of boost into a 2.5L and that will be around 300 horsepower at the crankshaft.

As for the cost, go build it yourself or pay someone. The receipts add up quickly into that range.

Don't doubt the power, but the market has got to be very small.  Even to get a 4.0 stroker up to 300 hp is going to cost very close to $10K, just for the engine.
