Megadan
That's really cool. I keep looking at my truck wanting to do a Baja build... this doesn't help lol
Jeep Driver
I'd like to know how he's claiming 300hp from a 2.5?
shelbyluvv
I like how it goes from a LWB to a SWB in the pictures
neohic
:hmm: You sure about that, Bo? Looks to me like the fiberglass box sides are throwing off some lines, but it all looks short box to me. :dunno:
shelbyluvv
The spring hanger looks to be setting back a good 18" from the cab line. A short box should be at about12". Anything is possible with a full blown race truck. Something with the length looks off to me though.

daking
The top link for the $18,000 Comanche, Thats a bit too much. If I was going to make an offer, I would offer ~$12,000. It does NOT even have a windshield.. :) The next one for $20,000. Thats just NUTS! I don't think you can even get that for the used parts. Don't get me wrong, there are some hi-dollar parts in that pile of metal, but not ~$10,000 worth. And certainly not $20,000. If I was going to buy that, I'd offer less then $2000.00. My guess is his Wife told him to sell his toys. And he is listing them WAY up there, so nobody buys.
Zebvance
Yea I have a hard time believing that he is getting 300hp out of that 2.5, even the 4.0 stroked to a 4.7 still doesn't hit that mark.....

Alexia
Put 18 to 20 PSI of boost into a 2.5L and that will be around 300 horsepower at the crankshaft. As for the cost, go build it yourself or pay someone. The receipts add up quickly into that range.

Even to get a 4.0 stroker up to 300 hp is going to cost very close to $10K, just for the engine.
ggcnash
Market is definitely small to have a full out race truck, but depending on what is all done to the truck its not a bad price.
