Yesterday at 4.30pm I ordered new springs for the wifes XJ. Front coils and leafs from Summit.

Yeah- Moog and Doorman......but I don't care, it'll be fine.

As of 7:00am it is on the truck for delivery, UPS runs here between 2pm and 3pm.

Aside from the fact that I got all four springs for $298.......free shipping.......

I have no idea what kind of deal Summit has with UPS.....but......next day shipping is amazing.

I can get stuff in an 1 1/2 hours .45 minute ride each way lol.

3.5 hours each way for me. But with free shipping I always get my stuff from Summit and Jeg's ( 60 minutes each way) next day no matter what time I order it without paying for speedier delivery. It comes in handy.

I don't use them as much any more since I have to pay tax and can usually find it cheaper from another vendor online. Lately www.streetsideauto.com has been my go to place for performance parts. I got 4 Bilstein 5100 shocks and a 5100 steering stabilizer from my Ram for $319 shipped from them. That's like $64 a piece shipped for Bilstein shocks. You can't beat that deal!

I ordered a set of Metric Ton leafs from General Spring and I received them next day!

I was surprised to say the least.

That is fast.

I have only ordered from Summit once. About 6 years ago. The order was for a 2" Autometer air pressure gauge that was in stock. It took 3 weeks to arrive. The customer service was lousy and their shipping department pathetic.

I know this is an oldish thread but.....

Any problems with the leafs?

A couple people have mentioned pin location issues with the Generals.

I'm debating General vs Hell Creek

None so far. I just hauled a fully dressed motor for a friend 300 miles to do a motor swap and it rode like a Cadillac.

Thanks.

I think the thing with the MT's is,

more weight = better ride

I'm debating General vs Hells Creek,

the fast ship time tells me General must have them as an on the shelf item.

I think that's true of all leaf spring vehicles - I've considered just keeping a couple hundred pounds of stuff in my bed just to get a little bit better ride
