Winning at all costs makes the big bucks and keeps the players and coaches riding the gravy train. PEDs, team-against-team espionage, back-channel tampering with opposing players, bribing officials, payoffs, point shaving, gambling, and other niceties are commonplace and only come to light when the respective sports commissioners say so because of media pressure. Anyone who thinks differently is living under a rock. It's in all sports, just some are more flagrant than others. And there is nothing the fans can do about it, except stop buying tickets. And that ain't going to happen any time soon.........
