Being it's the short bed it's only one size

Which is...? :dunno:

Sorry, but I don't keep a complete mental index of the various parts and specifics for these trucks.

Is the rear window 3 or 4 pane? Nicks, scratches, stickers?

Found his ad on CL: http://greensboro.craigslist.org/pts/4340977512.html

Thanks for that

SWB 18 gallons? When my gauge is on E I can put about 13.5 gallons in. Leads me to believe I have a 14 gallon tank, though I'm not sure if it's aftermarket. Looks stock to me, with the plastic guard it looks untouched.

Fuel tanks were changed somewhere along the lines I believe. You could originally get 16gal with a 23.5 gal optional on LWB rigs, it was later bumped to 18 as the standard. IIRC, been awhile since I did that research.

Yea... '86 base models got 16 gal tanks *ahem*... this guy... That's why I was curious.  Not worth it for me to get the 18 gal tank just for 2 more gallons.  Now, if I could find me a 23.5 gal tank, I'd be on it like flies on poop.

Wait a minute, that looks alot like the MJ owned by a guy I'm talking to right now about XJ doors. If so, the same thing happened to a transmission I was selling awhile back, the buyer was actually someone on here. Small world.

Long Bed tank is 23.5 gallons per my 1991 factory manual.

Check out Ebay.  You can buy a new 23.5 gal. tank for less than $100   Takes 3 straps instead of 2 straps.  "think" you can use your old sender and pickup but not sure.  Tank shoud plug right in, but I have not tried.

Ive updated my MJ inventory....look above.   Ive parted about 30 XJs, so I have a lot of Renix stuff that interchanges with the MJs.

I also buy as many XJs as I can find.....local to Greensboro, Triad area.
