I'm not denying that this new "fad" of shooting up schools is terrible, but what the general public needs to realize, is that bad things happen.  They happen all the time, they have happened all the time.  If these people keep getting their way, in a few short generations, the US is going to get the $#!& invaded out of it, because we won't be able to defend ourselves.  These shootings keep happening because the shooter gets an insane amount of media attention.

Do any of these people have children?  What happens when you tell a child they can't have something?  They only want it more, to the point of only wanting it because you said they can't.  They need to be shown that it exists, and told about why it's wrong, not be hidden from it.

The trouble is with the media (TV) they sensationalize for ratings and to sway their political agenda.

I think acts of terrorism and events like Sandyhook should only be seen in print.

I also see that story as sensationalized media with a political agenda. Directed towards the conservative, often the older generation, trying to stir up a reaction.

Unfortunately news stories are a commodity, and the media is really only there to make money. Everything is sensationalized so they can sell more of it to make more money. There's a reason newspapers and such are only written to a grade five reading level, and it's not because they want kids reading it. If anything newspapers are worse than tv, because they all are biased politically in some way or another, and people are more inclined to believe what they read in print.

Now we can't honor our military any more my god when is this $#!& going to end. Did you guys see that there trying to get Nascar to drop the NRA 500? The 5 year old girl who got suspended for the Hello Kitty Bubble Gun or the kid with the lego gun that he was making bang noises with that didnt even look like a gun also suspended.

Many years ago i remember reading something from one of the great men of the time. I think it was John Paine but I don't remember for sure. He said no true Democracy can last for more than 2-300 years and then explained why. In a true Democracy everybody has an even vote. A complete idiot can stand beside a educated person and vote. In time the idiots, welfare moochers out number the educated, working voters and from there it's down hill to Tyranny.

hell, in memphis they are re-naming parks and taking down statues just because they all had to do with confederate things. its bull$#!&. you can't change history. accept it and move on! go figure that the council that voted to do so are all black people.. even the NAACP wasnt for it.

Yup, Detroit and several other cities are good examples of the "tyranny of majority rule".  Its why we have a Republic vs a Democracy of majority rule.  We have separate branches of govt and an electoral college.  If majority rule was the law, Obama could easily be elected El Presidente for life.
