The only way I could pay 7k is if it had the following:

4.7 Supercharged Stroker w/ 0 miles on it.

Rebuilt tranny w/ 0 miles on it.

Atlas Transfercase w/ 0 miles on it.

Full 97+ swap with no flaws and custom gauges

D44 front and rear, 100% rebuilt

Locked front and rear

Flawless paint

 

Then we could talk 7k.

Same thing here, i was thinking maybe 4k but even thats pretty freakin steep.

I think you're looking at upwards of 20-30K with that list.

I got a maximum of $500 tied up in my DD MJ. It starts when I want to and it goes where ever I want it too. Doesn't give me any trouble and is easy on gas and maintenance. Just can't understand why any one would even think about spending a couple grand on any machine. :yes: :hmm:

Yeah, I am already $10,000 into my project and not even at the paint phase yet.

 

 

If its not asking to much, i would love to see a build sheet of your motor. :peek: Eagle rods, Ross or KB pistons, Scat billet crank, am i close? 8)

 

 

and FWIW i will probably spend $2500-2700 on the next go round and thats nothing fancy, at all.

I tried to keep my costs as low as possible and reuse where I could. The trashed valve seats set me back more than I wanted.

 

  • Deck lowered 0.020"
  • 4.0 connecting rods - Ground for the KB pistons
  • Bored 0.060 Over - $555(Work for this and above)
  • 258 Short Nose Crankshaft - $100
  • Keith Black IC944-060 Pistons with molly rings - $500
  • MOPAR Purple Performance P4529229AD Camshaft - $227
  • Rebuilt stock head - $310

 

$1,692 - If my stock head was not trashed this would have been much cheaper. I searched all over for deals.

Probably about $2,200 when including gaskets and other items such as intake and exhaust.

 

Deck Clearance: .0015

Combustion Chamber: 55cc

Bore: 3.935

Stroke: 3.895

Piston Dish: 21cc

 

10.03:1 SCR, 8.75:1 DCR at sea level.

Hope she doesn't ping too bad for you. Going to use a bit thicker head gasket?

 

Even if I did it would only reduce the SCR to 9.94. The shaved cylinder head from Clearwater/Odessa Cylinder was a frustrating discovery. 1cc of combustion chamber loss is about 0.11 of SCR increase in my setup. When I get the cheap supercharger on there I will be definitely making trips all the way across the city to Kangaroo to get 93 octane.

 

Still, I am managing to be really cheap with all of this.

I didn't know Kangaroo sold 93 octane. And of course there are always good octane booster additives around if you need. I have to burn at least 89 octane or it pings pretty good. CR is right at 9.00. Would love to have the Hesco alloy head...........

I feel ya. Been unemployed for 6 mos.

 

If you poor, quit looking at craigslist.

I'm not 'poor' but CL is very bad when I don't NEED anything. Seems everytime I log in and search for anything MJ related, it comes home. I stay the hell off there.
