Pete M
Everybody loves a good sticky situation! Let's see your stucks or accidents, either for your MJ or where you took the picture. Since there may only be a handful of pics, I was thinking of opening it up to stucks where you were a witness (so you can show shots of your wheelin' buddies). For those guys who lost their MJ to an accident, you can post that too. I'll start since I seem to be in such a picture-postin' mood. This would be in the Rockport Offroad Park. Don't know what could possibly have gone wrong with trying to keep a muddy tire on a muddy log, but somehow I slipped off and got hung up. Here I am at a local club's mudrun. It was practically a goal to get stuck, so I'll only post on of them. :D Here I am proving that I can't climb in the sand without airing down first. Not exactly a worst stuck though, more like a "lamest stuck". And on my trip to Colorado I witnessed this guy that tried to follow a better built rig through the mud pit. Took a couple hours to free him. Even two rigs in line couldn't free him from the muck. This is what eventually worked, a side pull. Almost flipped him over though. And what can happen right in the middle of a dirt trail when you're running little tires on a nonlifted rig with open diffs? Why, highcentering of course. :D But even a big tired and locked rig can fall victim to the nasty Rockport muck. Here's my buddy Joe and his Willys. I'm not sure I've ever seen Joe get stuck, but here he is at the pinnacle of his travel up this hill. He juuust couldn't quite make it and eventually he blew an axleshaft. Kenosha Warrior
this thread jinxed me. we just finished a particularly nasty storm, mainly freezing rain which made the roads worthless. it warmed up so I went to a friends house, and as I was going around a corner I started to slid and slammed into the wooden guard rail. Got out ok, but I had to make an emergency pit-stop at my mechanic's so he could get all the wood out of my tires, the wooden stakes left some nice chunks between my rim and tire, didn't affect the tires though. A quick reseal and balance got me on my way again, $30. Now my bumper is twisted under the bed on the passenger side and flared out on the drivers side. pics to come later today

Pete M
Proving that bald tires can trump lockers: And I almost forgot to throw in one of my buddy Mike's stucks. Here he is preparing to yank the Bronco out of the ditch with his bare hands. :D This one was an all nighter. We had a shuvel, a hi-lift and some chain and straps, but there wasn't a tree close enough behind him. Eventually we gave up and sought out assistance from Shane and his CJ the next day. Pete M
Not yet. :brows: I just deleted one word but got distracted before I typed in the new one. That's what I get for typing replies to multiple posts at once. Even Firefox's mighty spellchecker ain't going to help me with that.

Oizarod115
this is my brother "i hate shortarms and even shorter shocks!" we had to get a strap in his hitch and use my truck to pull him back down on all fours. no damage but it was technically a flop. and we have no evidence of my truck ever being stuck. but it's only happened once so we'll try next time!

88swampedmj
Sooo, is that river what killed your MJ? na that didnt kill it, it did mess up the wiring and CPS, but i think the motor just being so old killed it.. after the creek i changed the oil and did a complete tune up.. warrior
I just started into the intersection when a mini van ran the red light. I shredded her fender with my rock bumper. I did have to replace the drivers side fender, but at least I could drive it home. I'm glade I wasn't driving my comanche that day. ChiefJosh
I've got two stucks- and both are humbling.... The first is my 85 CJ, Ozzy (R.I.P.). About a month after I bought it, I was showing it off to a girl I had my eye on, and high centered in a couple of ruts. We had to walk back to the dorms and I had to ask the only other person I knew with a 4wd to pull me out- another girl with a nice Toy truck. Not sure what exactly I did right in all of that, the girl that was riding with me is now my wife...... Image Not Found That is her, standing behind my XJ, about 15 miles from nowhere in Seneca Rocks, West Virginia on Easter Sunday. Me and my mostly bald Goodyear Wranglers got into a sort of predicament. I took us about an hour or so, but we got out. She's a tough one, she pushed from the ditch while I spun snow and mud at her. I really wonder sometimes what she enjoys about going out with me in our Jeeps..... :D Image Not Found This accident almost took my XJ from me, I didn't have collision insurance on it, and I wrecked it, so it sat for about a year before I could come up with the cash to fix it. I screwed up the unibody, so I had to have that pulled back apart, but it drives in a straight line now. :D Thankfully no one was hurt, I pulled that Pontiac into another car, , it was a ZJ. There's nothing quite like causing traffic to back up on the highway right outside Yankee stadium on a night there's a ball game! I don't think I've ever had so many foul things yelled at me in one night! Image Not Found Image Not Found
DirtyComanche
Curtis at some comp... Image Not Found I got a really cheap set of tires off him after that because that pretty much totalled his whole rig. But now he's got 1-tons and an aluminum body... :Canadaflag:
