Factory Liberty wheels are all 5 x 4.5" bolt pattern, si?

KJ rims are all 5 on 4.5 and the typical Jeep backspacing (5.25"?).

That is the 2002 through 2007 models. The newer KK Liberties (2008 through 2012) are 5 on 5 just like the new Grand Cherokee and the JK Wrangler. Don't know what 2013 will bring.

I know they arent 16's, but The 2005 Up Chrysler LX cars, the 300, the charger and the Magnum come with 17" steelies that have the right bolt pattern, backspacing and hub size and I have seen them on other forums being used on XJ's. The basic 17 inch is a bullet hole type wheel. If you want to go 18 inch find a set of steelies from the police Chargers and Magnums, they have a nice looking 5 spoke pattern, and look even better with the stock 5 spoke hubcaps. I plan on finding a set of these for myslef at some point in the future.

I just changed from 15x8 Canyons with 30-9.50s to a set of 16x7 Icons, came with 265-75's, much taller. They are nearly worn out, but will work for a while.

Amazingly, only very slight clearance problems, at full lock rubbed sway bar and lower control arms, adjusted the steering stops cured it.

It is really amazing how small an adjustment at the stops it takes to solve the problem.

Still want to lift it a little, just to level it out.

INCORRECT!

KKs are also 5 x 4.5, just like the MK's are, as is noted in the Wheel guide.

Noted, and bookmarked. Going to do one for the JKs Sam-man?

I started putting together a JK guide at one point, but I got side tracked, but yes there will be a JK file, and a WK2 file as well. I would really like to backfill out with the older models too, I started on a YJ guide at one point but also didn't finish it.

I would also like to flesh out the individual pages with high quality photos showing each variation mounted on a near stock Jeep. The idea being to give perspective from a stock viewpoint. I would then have one page for a mix match of all different stock wheels on different Jeeps, silverstars on MJs, older XJs, moabs on a MJ, JK saharas on an XJ, etc.

I originally sold a set of take-off wheels from my new JK (5 on 5") to a guy with a 2011 Liberty. He came to pick them up and then decided to see if they would fit. He had the 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern. Didn't buy them. :shake: But sold them to another guy the next day with a Ford.

I just picked up at set of 2011 JK moabs.......perfect shape for $200 for all 5, what a deal. Only problem is getting them to work with the 5x4.5 XJ I have.......

I got an idea about how to do that without using adapters.......teeheehee.

Yup, I tried WJ unit bearings in the XJ knuckles, which is fine, the problem is once I redrilled the rotors I found out they were too small to fit over the unit bearing hub, and not even close.

So I've got a WJ knuckle on there, to use WJ brakes, with the WJ hub. Problem now is that once the hub is all the way in the knuckle something is bound up, but if you loosen it a bit everything is fine. I think this is the shim problem people occur when installing WJ big brakes on XJ's.

Trying to decide if I should proceed with this route or not right now. I need one more unit bearing if I'm going this route, and it would use up my WJ parts slated for my yellow XJ big brake kit that I wanted to put on before this winter.(winter tires are load range E and heavy)
