Sir Sam Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Full gallery here: http://colorado4wheel.com/images/BAW_S12/ Facelift model of the BAW Qishi Jeep 2500, now called S12. Priced from ~$12,500-14,900USD IFS: Updated interior:
lostissues Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 That is pretty sweet looking, though for me if I somehow got one I would want to put a 97-01 front end on it. I just don't really like the look of the 2500 and this new ones front. and put a solid axle in the front.
shawn Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 kinda cool though. thanks for posting this. 6 bolt wheels? is that a toyota rear? wonder what the ratios are with such small displacement.
camjeep3 Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 the rear end has 4.30 painted on it. that could be the ratio I would assume :dunno:
Alexia Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 The XJ platform is nearing thirty years of production with minimal change to the main body structure. Not very many other models of vehicles can claim that. The XJ platform may be long dead in the USA, but China is embracing it like the USA did for its simplicity and versatility.
Sir Sam Posted March 25, 2012 Author Posted March 25, 2012 Yup, pretty cool that they keep on rolling them out.....
H3RESQ Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Be a pretty modern interior and should swap into our MJ's if you could get ahold of one.
Sir Sam Posted March 25, 2012 Author Posted March 25, 2012 Be a pretty modern interior and should swap into our MJ's if you could get ahold of one. doors would be a direct swap over....they are based on the 96- doors Dash would be interesting to do too with those door panels. And I'm kinda digging that front end over my 2500 front. Damm.....oh well, can't go changing around this MJ....I'm commited now.
terrawombat Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 I like that they used the older style XJ transfer case shifter bezel.
Sir Sam Posted March 25, 2012 Author Posted March 25, 2012 I like that they used the older style XJ transfer case shifter bezel. Ya thats funny because its almost like some sort of regression, the 2500 used the 97+ style, this one uses the 96- style.....uh ok.
HOrnbrod Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Either that or more likely they had a stockpile of the old bezels left over and didn't want to waste them. I don't like the looks of them now, reminds me of a granny trying to look younger, but I sure admire that they're still producing them.
ComancheKid45 Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 they can keep it over there IMO.... Definently! Its not an XJ anymore without its Dana 30! IFS Jeeps FAIL :ack: :wall:
