AMCJeepMJ Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 Just a reminder- Spring forward, Fall back on Sunday, March 10th at 0200 local time. Should you reside in a location that does not observe Daylight Whatever Time, please disregard.
Geonovast Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 Should you reside in a location that does not observe Daylight Whatever Time, please disreard. And consider yourself lucky... DST is absolutely useless, and if I have to work that weekend, it's going to mess up my work schedule.
86customanche Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 technically its at 0200 on the 11th. At 0200 Sunday morning, it goes to 0300

MJRemi Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 I'm getting tired of setting my alarm at 0159 hours to wake up just to change my clock. :dunce: I think I'll move to Arizona.
xjrev10 Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I work midnights that night, 6p to 6a. We only work a 11 hour shift.

I start an hour early to start pickup inspections. So I will work a 12 technically, usually a 13 hour shift every other day.
DirtyComanche Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I was so happy that this had fallen on the weekend that I was not working, this year. 'Course the boss called me today and asked if I'd mind working Saturday and Sunday to change a head and mast... :( I absolutely hate DST and would love to see it go away. I don't think it saves any electricity, certainly not this far north at least.
AMCJeepMJ Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 Don't forget! If you wake up late for church [or other obligation] you have no one to blame but yourself!
johnnyc Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 I prefer Daylight Savings Time over Standard Time. So I say to get rid of Standard Time permanently, like Russia and Krygyzstan have done. Ha. Some interesting reading about DST around the world. http://www.webexhibits.org/daylightsaving/g.html
shawn Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 i often wish this forum had an up-vote and down-vote button. sometimes i see some good replies, lol. one quote i just heard was : "only the government could think that you could take a blanket and cut a foot off of its length and sew it onto the other end to make it longer." and i agree w/ johnnyc. -get rid of standard-time. (or any time, really.)
lexluthier72 Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 I swore I read that as "change your socks" Sleepy.....
