HOrnbrod Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 .... you before you stop writing 2011 on checks, bills, etc.? Takes me usually a couple of months. :???:
terrawombat Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Just wrote a rent check for 1/1/11. Had to tear it up. Doh. I do a lot of engineering drawings at work that require date stamps all over everything so I'll need to force myself to write 2012 or else I could cause a lot of confusion.
87Warrior Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 still writing 2010 on stuff Same here. I am a creature of habit and am slow to adapt to change.
whowey Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Spent half the day swearing at the freight billing system at work today.. because I was entering '11 on it.. making it not recognize anything I was trying to do.
terrawombat Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 what's a "check"? :dunno: :rotf: Some kind of old school payment system that the Indians used to use, I think.
johnnyc Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I was at work yesterday and wrote 1/1/2012 on everything. But I am exceptional...
Automan2164 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 what's a "check"? :dunno: :rotf: Some kind of old school payment system that the Indians used to use, I think. Rob
HOrnbrod Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 what's a "check"? :dunno: :rotf: Yuk-yuk cretins. Y'all forget I live in the third world in which 99% of all local small businesses operate strictly with checks or cash. Credit cards strictly verboten.
AMCJeepMJ Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 I don't think I've written a physical check since before WaMu became Chase. 2009?
KYMJ Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Haven't written a check in 4 or 5 years, so no problem there. I had to work New Years Day and had to write reports, roster, etc., wrote 2011 once, and have been good since.
86customanche Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 I avoid writing the date as much as possible, probably for the reason I'd write 2010 or 2009 even, who knows. The few times I do write the date I double check the date since I probably don't know the day either.
