I'm on a bit late....

but since i'm here, I'm going to jump on the "it's a donor" band wagon.

Glad to say, I've only owned 3 grand cherokees. and I didn't even bother parting any of them...no thank you, I didn't want to even touch them.

Looks like an engine donor

Engine, transmission, transfer case, both axles and a killer stereo. Everything on it works so it's going to be a donor to two XJ'S and one MJ. :wrench:

What drive train is in it? Most ZJ components would be a down grade for an XJ/MJ

I apologize. I goofed. It's going into two ZJ'S and one MJ. Must of been asleep there. The front axle and tranny and rear hatch struts is going into daughters '94ZJ. The rear axle and radiator is going into GF '95ZJ. The motor, tires and wheels, bucket seats and stereo is going into a stripped '89 MJ I recently acquired. The hood may be going on a '98 XJ. Gotta check for fit. It is going to be pretty much used up. And the body's good for $200 scrap.

Can anybody give me a reason as to why I couldn't just take a sawzall and remove the roof, fenders, add a roll cage and make a rock crawler out of it?

:dunno:

Cause you would rather use the parts to fix the other jeeps.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw the first pic. Just cut everything from the dash up off and tube it out.
