My team qualified for King of the Hammers 2015 so ill be down there! hopefully bringing my truck down for a chase truck B) within the next couple weeks I'm hopefully changing out a couple U-joints, possibly getting a 8.8 with disc brakes and a locker and finally doing shock hoops front and rear... this is "hopefully before a trip to Moab after Thanksgiving. I have a bunch more pics from wheeling and exploring my new area but Ill have to upload them later this week.

Went up to American Fork Canyon again last Sunday and had a mostly great day. Ran Mineral Basin until there was about 6" of snow and turned around and headed back down towards Forest lake and found out that it was mostly ice halfway up... Apparently if I hit the rev limiter my serpentine belt jumps a few ribs so I shredded the belt a little bit. Oopss. Slapped a spare on and kept going but somehow didn't hit any trees sliding around everywhere and off the trail at one point, had to get winched out.. Also made a new battery tie down since there was nothing left of the stock plastic one and I got a new Advanced Gen Carquest 34/78 Dual post battery last week, 1000cca!

Started heading up forest lake

And about 3/4 of the way up the rear end slid off the edge and I got a little stuck between a rock and a hard place..

Ask and you shall receive B)

Spent all day Saturday running Poison spider, beautiful scenery and a few obstacles always make for a great trail! Finally had some good pizza at Zax in town since moving to Utah over 3 months ago! Before dinner I swapped out my thermostat for a new one since it was getting stuck closed AGAIN! This time I drilled two 1/8" holes on each side of the new one, and it seems to have done the trick! Thanks again for the drill Dan! After dinner we ran the first half of Fins n Things. Awesome trail by the way  Sunday we checked out the Tusher tunnel before heading back north. Overall it was an awesome weekend and can't wait to check out more next time I go down!

Here's JohnnyQuest getting skinny towards the end of Poison Spider

Haven't done much to my truck since after moab. Did an oil change last week and did a quick nut and bolt check and my axle side lower control arm bolts keep loosening up so I put some locktite on em. Picked up a 9" rear axle for 75 bucks the other night! It's the big bearing, 31 spline, full width, 5x5.5 lug pattern. I plan on putting 5.13s in it and haven't decided on a locker/spool yet. I can get a newer balljoint 60 for really cheap and get the 5 lug outer setup for pretty cheap also. And run some 17" allied beadlocks that are sitting in the attic at my shop... I just need 37s and more money! Recently explored some trails by my house and took this picture

I'm heading down to Johnson Valley California for King of the Hammers tonight with my race team! Hopefully coming back with some jeep goodies B)

Instead of running the 5 lug setup on the BJ 60 I'm gunna make a full float 9" using 14bolt axle shafts and outers and chevy 3/4 calipers for a 8 lug disc brake setup  2 weeks ago my girlfriend and I got a puppy! His name is Yogi and he's Australian Shepard and Border Collie mix, he also likes riding in my truck wherever we go! I acquired these Walker Evans from JohnnyQuest last week and hopefully getting a 60/14b next weekend! I'll be down at Easter Jeep Safari in Moab for a week and hopefully see one of you guys down there!

This is officially my new favorite thread.  You sir are the definition of hard work and diligence. I though I had it rough with the rusty stubborn bolts I have been dealing with thi sweek but I really have it ok.  Thank you for the motivation

Haven't updated this in awhile since I've been super busy. While I was down at EJS2015 I went to the Crawl Readers ride at Area-BFE and landed a 2 page spread in Crawl Mag! I also finally got a picture crossing the Golden Crack!

I've had a change of plans and won't be building my MJ anymore then it is now. It wheels very well and I it needs a bunch of stuff to be a reliable daily driver, eventually Id like to swap all of my good parts into a non crushed MJ body and make a nice daily/ weekend expedition rig. I've aquired this half of a 98 TJ and a bunch of small parts to build myself a racejeep! Eventually when it's built Id like to race in the 4500 Ultra4 class. I got the racing bug not too long ago as I've been A mechanic and co driver for the Sexton Offroad Racing team #4437 Bronco in the 4400 class. Ill just throw a bunch of pictures up from the past few months!

Here's our crash from the last race at The Metalcloak stampede in NorCal. I'll be fixing quite a bunch of stuff before our next race at Glen Helen in SoCal!

I've been diligently working on this full restoration of a 67' Early Bronco. I have touched every nut and bolt and screw on this piece of art and did all of the body work. I'm quite proud of it B)

So I found a screamin deal on a "shell" it's an 87 Laredo swb that has a ax15 swapped in it already and a half a55ed bed bob... A full and very nice porno red interior and A/C and a cab light!!!! The only catch is it doesn't have a gas tank or axles.. Picked it up for 400 cash and traded some 37s that I bought previously for 100 big ones so I got a $500 MJ..

I threw a battery and some gas at it and it runs great! Now I just need to obtain and swap a bunch of stuff from my current one to this one including but not limited to...

- Finish rebuilding my axles with 4.88s and a grizzly locker in a 8.8 ( I have everything. I'm just super busy)

-Fix rust above wheel wells and swap beds.

- coilovers or 4.5" rubicon express coils?

-Either build my own 3-link or swap my Clayton Y link over to the new one

- Its currently halfway setup for a 4-link rear.. Do I finish it or get new leafs..

- Fuel cell in stock spare tire location?

- I'm not a fan of the maroon color.. I'll eventually paint it but I'm indecisive.

I'll post more pics later B)
