Automan2164
GAH! How do you mis-spell "Comanche" when its on the poster!? Curse you Pete. :fs2: Rob L. ;)
mjeff87
from a quick glance, you could easily mistake the gent in the second pic to be Tom Swatzell.... Image Not Found
mvusse
Yeah, that Al Junior poster was quite a find. One of the greatest Indy Car drivers ever!
HOrnbrod
Yeah, that Al Junior poster was quite a find. One of the greatest Indy Car drivers ever! That he was. But I do not recall Little Al ever driving SCAA trucks or whatever the poster represents. :hmm:

HOrnbrod
Ah, thanks Pete. I was out of the USofA when that was popular. Amazing how versatile and competitive the MJs were in several venues. Good find.

lostissues
stadium racing. it was big back in the day. no, I don't have these 2. yet. upper left image: top image: and it was an ebay find. I picked up those 2 a while ago, I gave them to my brother in law. unfortunately the guy only had one of the sketch ones. I have the 3 pane racing one but it is ripped in half :( and I have a side by side Cherokee/Comanche one my buddy also found a sign featuring a Comanche in his grandfathers stuff from when he owned a dealership, I have yet to pick it up. now I have to find a frame to put the posters in. 87Warrior
Pete - I would do bbbbbbaaaaaddddd things to get a high quality scan of that first poster. Very cool. Any copy shop should have a wide format scanner that you could use to scan and save the image to a flash drive. Stay away from chain stores as they may freak with the Jeep name on there. Lost - I would also be willing to try and patch your ripped poster together in photoshop, if you could get the two halves scanned. Then you would just need to get it printed. AMCJeepMJ
So, what's the deal with the upside-down grilles? I see it all the time. Does it signify anything other than "gee, we can't put the grille in right."?
lostissues
hey Pete, you have any idea how you are going to display them? I was looking at poster frames online and I think the price is way to high, I contemplated making my own but the price of acrylic is also ridiculous. the 2 posters I have are 25 1/2" by 38" and 20 1/2" by 54" dunno, maybe I am just cheap but over $50 for the (25.5x38) and around a $100 for the other seams like a lot to me. If only I could find a cheap source for acrylic plastic :dunno:
Pete M
haven't looked into frames yet. I'm a bit behind too, as this isn't my first poster that needs a home. and if the unsidedown grill is good enough for Mr. Unser, it's good enough for me. :D
Herc
Check Walmart for the poster frames - 27 x 40 $19.98 but that is the largest one they have.
