Yep, and I was pretty pissed when they were beating the $#!& out of them, but, Trasborg chose to opt out of the part of the competition where you had to shoot your Jeep.

that photo is actually a chop. early on they needed a photo to send in to the bonneville guys and so they chopped the truck onto the salt flats.

I love that truck. I hope they can beat the Chevy guys. But any speed over 80 or so scares me, I don't think I could run on the flats, I'm too chicken. I did get my 84' Honda V65 up to 140 a long time ago, I was 19 or 20 when I did that,,,,and that won't ever happening again!

In 1965 rode in a 64 GTO and we had it doing about 130 we think on factory bias ply tires. :nuts: The speedometer was pegged and still accelerated. Slowed to 70 when approaching a bridge :clapping: and the right front tire blew out. :ack: Have NEVER wanted to go that fast again! :shake:
