I was sitting at a stop light saturday night and had a brand new 4 door powerstroke sitting on my left side. While we were sitting there a wreak took place but I couldn't see it cause the powerstroke was in my way, so the light turned green and I gave the ol mj some gas to get ahead of the powerstroke so i could see the wreak. The next thing I heard was the turbo kick in on the Ford and him downshift, so steped into the the gas a little more untill I had it floored, and so did he, we ran neck to neck for a bit then I started pulling away from the Ford untill I was a car length away before the Ford guy ever let up. we were running 65 by this time. Even with the crappy combo of Auto/3.55/and 31" tires,it still put a big smile on my face when I out ran the Brand new Ford :D

I have a powerstroke myself and i have my Comanche with 3.55 gears and 31s but I'm guna have to say my 7.3 powerstroke could kick the MJ all day All night and anytime ever.

:agree:

my brother has a 7.3L and my inlaws have the 6.0L,either one will walk all over my 4.0L XJ and both the 7.3L or 6.0L would get spanked by a brand new one

Back in 1994 driving a GMC 3500HD dump truck with a Vortec 454 and 5 speed stick I blew away a Ford Escort with a body kit that was trying to show off.

Imagine that, an ESCORT.

With a BODY KIT!

I got one of them, although you would have a hard time finding a dump truck that will keep up with it.

My daily driver is a 6.0 powerstroke, say what u will about them, but it gets up and goes. I also have a comanche w/ 3:55's, and all Ill say about this topic is that theres just no way my comanche would pull on my diesel. I mean no way. At all. Ever. Period.

It seems  but good kill !!

I've beaten and F150 with a 4.6 pretty badly before, that being said, my dad has a F250 that hauls when you really lay into it

I had an 05 F150 4X4 with the 4.6L,nice truck but it was pretty gutless,my brother had a 93 YJ at the time that would run away from it. actually his 4cyl 05 Tacoma on stock gears and 35s was a pretty good race for it.

My MJ got dominated by a Duramax :(

However it does outrun my buddies riced tracer, and my other friends 1981 Camaro Z-28

:driving: :rotf:

was the z28 misfiring, and running on 4 flat tires? :rotfl2:

Never mind the fact that Ford weighs twice as much as your MJ.

never mind the fact that he has a Diesel and a $#!& ton more horse power.

So you initiated a drag race with another vehicle in order to get a good look at a car wreck? Some people never cease to amaze me.

No i tried to get to see it, he's the one that wanted to race, so why not?

in BRAND NEW Fords. :fool: (wish they still did though)
