Squeegy410
it's a willy's pickup. and that one looks rough. Its really not so bad. I'm sure it would be rough to try to make it run, but its a decent frame. it would be nice to set it down on anothe frame and see what happened  but itl be a while til i can do anything with it. kro10000
It might have that (hurricane?) OHC I6, i think those are pretty cool, 6 cam lobes run 12 valves I have to say though, those are definately in my top 5 favorite pickups of all time. dasbulliwagen
Willys pickup! NICE! Probably has a 4cy flathead engine, but I really don't know for sure.
jimoshel
That is a '47 or '48 Willys. 4 cyl flathead. Never in or had anything to do with the military. The OHV didn't come out until 1952. The Hurricane 6 until '54. The OHC until '62. I*n 1974 I put a OHC engine (after a few mods) into a homebuilt airplane I built. When the 4cyl F head first came out it was the most powerful 4 cyl engine in mass production at the time. When the L 161 came out it was a Continental engine. 2 firsrts for Jeep. jpdocdave
cool willys. probably flathead 4 i'd say also. i know a guy that picked one out of a field, hardly did a thing to it and drives it around daily. and it looks kinda like that, and it looks like he did it on purpose, ratrod. i dunno how true this is but someone told me he's getting like 30 mpg. there's about 10 wires under the hood, and 10 wires behind the dash, and a couple fuses. there's nothing to these things, its pretty cool. Eagle
it would be nice to set it down on anothe frame and see what happened No, that would not be nice. That truck is rough but it appears to be complete. It should be restored, not butchered.
