Oizarod115 Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 kickass early 90s cherokee chase scene in the movie 'taken' at a construction site. beats it pretty hard but i don't believe he killed it.
dfreeman616 Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 nope doesn't kill it, he abandons it and switches only because the blown on windows, body damage, and bullet holes makes it stick out too much when i watched it with my wife she made the mistake of saying that the jeep couldn't really hold up to that kind of abuse...i corrected her swiftly :D
bigalpha Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 I'll have to say it sure didn't sound like a 6cyl cherokee.
jimoshel Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 I didn't see the movie so went to rent it. There are 3 versions. Which one is the one I want? I would guess the '98 version. but not sure.
pilotblake Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 I have the movie on Blu-ray, and it is one of my top movies, next to Shooter of course. As a soon to be dad there is not limit to what I would do to find my kid. All around eye opening and great movie.
bigalpha Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 next to Shooter of course. Ah, I friggin' love that movie. Something about complete and utter destruction of the people who screwed him over is so great.
ComancheKid45 Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Never saw "Taken" but have seen "Shooter" a few times and will agree on its badassness :clapping:
landlubber Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I loved that scene... x2, makes me want to go rally or something. shooter ftw also, can't count how many times i've seen that movie.
Pete M Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Finally got to see Taken. good flick. They exhaust sound track they used for the XJ made it sound pretty good. :D vroom..vrooooommmm....

jimoshel Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Finally got a copy of it (Taken) courtesy netflix, eagerly popped it into the player and..................................nothing. Returned it to netflux along with a nasty note and requested another copy. I'm going to watch that chase scene if I have to go to someones house and buy the beer.

wyk Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I'll have to say it sure didn't sound like a 6cyl cherokee. Especially since all of the Cherokees I have seen in France were diesels ;) I love it when he tells Jeane Claude " - it was a TRAILER, not a building!" which makes Jeane Claude look at his mobile, confused.
jimoshel Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Had a fairly eventful day. Dr's appointment this afternoon. It was my physical for my airmans certificate. Passed. I can fly for another 5 years. And finally got to see the chase scene in 'Taken' courtesy of Netflix.
Automan2164 Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 How'd ya like it Jim? I found it to be one of those movies that you can forget about relaxing. You are on the edge of the seat the whole time, and just waiting for the next move. Speaking of, can anyone upload it for us to watch again? Rob L.
