landlubber Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Thats awesome. I can't wait so see what this this is really going to look like. x2 I gotta do this someday.
dasbulliwagen Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 How badly damaged was the Comanche donor? I hope you didnt cut them off of a nice truck that could have been saved. Please tell us otherwise....pleeeeeese! But on the other hand.... AWESOME PROJECT! Keep up the good work and keep the pics coming!
87Warrior Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Very cool, I like it a lot! I can't wait to see what this beast winds up looking like.
philxj Posted January 6, 2010 Author Posted January 6, 2010 the Comanche that I took part come from a scrap yard
64 Cheyenne Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Wow! I was on board to say scrap the XJ, use the parts from it to build another, much easier and cheaper. But I have to give many Kudos to you  that is AWESOME ! can't wait to see it when it's done.
Darren Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Please tell me you going to ditch the exhaust stack in the bed.
dancome433 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Awesome build man, this thing looks sweet, I actually had the same idea for a 2 door xj, after seeing so many 4 door xjs chopped, but then I found somebody else who did it and then I found yours, looks like I wasnt the only one with this bad @ss idea, keep up the good work and more pics please
philxj Posted January 25, 2010 Author Posted January 25, 2010 now is the end of the body 36'' swamper dana44 front
Squeegy410 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 I can't believe you put a stack in it...  :headpop: :fs1: :ack: :wall:
dancome433 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 that looks good, nice job with the body, I have to agree with Squeegy410, not very fond of the exhuast, but everyone has their own opinion
dancome433 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 is it just me or is the roof bent? The roof looks like its slanting upwards in the back, probably because the MJ roof higher than an XJs roof
jpnjim Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Awesome job! .....but you need to do something with the roof. Don't Xterra's have a roof kickup something like that, maybe you could copy the way their roof rack ties into it (or modify a junkyard rack from one). Best way would be to graft the raised MJ roof section, but I wouldn't want to see another MJ die for the project. Keep the pics coming.

jayizle Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 i like what you did. very nice but you should have done dual stacks instead of one but other than that it looks awesome

philxj Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 ok ok i will remove the pipe,,,, is not a good idea for police
Squeegy410 Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 ok ok i will remove the pipe,,,, is not a good idea for police  Then it's perfect bro  I love what you did with it. I have a cousin who wrecked the back end of a pinto when it was brand new (in like '74 lol) so he cut it off at the back seats and put a bed on it. He had the bed there and couldn't afford a whole new car, so my dad told him to put that truck bed on it lol. The next time he saw it it was a pinto truck.
