HOrnbrod
are they letters or numbers? Usually two letters and a number. Like my code is PS7. Then you can look it up on a Mopar site and see what color the original is.

Automan2164
Don, if you look in that options list wade posted, it lists hunter green metallic as an option... I didn't think they made green eliminators either, but then again, I didn't think longbed eliminators existed either. :D Custom order for the last comanche ever made maybe. Rob L. HOrnbrod
Yep, they must have pulled out all the stops in 91-92. Knew about the LWD Elims, but not the Hunter Green paint. You gotta restore that thing back to pure pure stock Wade even if it takes years. Then only drive it in the summer, or move south. A piece of Jeep MJ history that's only going to increase in value.

Pete M
92 dealership brochure says that the Hunter Green on available with Eliminators with a "late availability" asterisk. Same with Midnite Blue. The other colors for 92 Elims were: White, Black, Colorado Red, Grey Mist Metallic, and Dark Cordovan Pearl coat (looks almost like a purple on the tiny color swatch). 89eliminator
what does late availability mean? only offered toward the end of production?
Pete M
Means that it wasn't available at the beginning of the year. Doesn't say how late is "late". There are similar asterisks in the cherokee section for the Limited trim level.
HOrnbrod
Wade, I'll be very happy to take care of it for you during the winter and make sure it gets plenty of exercise. EDIT: Means that it wasn't available at the beginning of the year. WahooSteeler
http://www.automotivetouchup.com/choose ... l=Comanche   My best friend from high school got a Scrambler back in @1991, it was an 83?, Laredo, full factory gauges including clock and tach, factory air, EVERYTHING. Sitting in the back yard of some middle aged couple that another friend of ours spotted one day. My buddy bought it for $2200. Still had it until he ran into a ditch and bent the frame about 4yrs ago w/about 160k on it, near zero rust and ran great. Wade, I'll give you $1300 for it, that way you make $100! :brows:

HOrnbrod
i wonder how close that paint would be to the actual color? :hmm: It will be darker due to the original paint fade. I used the OEM paint on my new cowl hood (the body paint was only four years old and was always garaged), and it was noticibly darker, not bad, but visible looking closely. Metallics are hard to match. Complete all the body work, entirely, then paint the whole thing.
