Project "jpthng"

Recommended Posts

Finally starting my mj project after over a year of "higher priorities" per the wife. So her's where I'm starting from . 88 eliminator I6 aw4 220k miles . I've had it since 04 , it has never let me down .I bought a 96 2wd xj w 80k from family (aka Cheep) for a donor car . My plan is to stick to the street . I really like the way the truck handles on the road and the whole scca mj history thing . I started taking some auto body classes at a local tech school and I want to use some current jeep elements in my "resto mod"

Thanks to those guys who are doing the full tear down resto's it's great motovation.

Minor progress report. Mocking up wheels at this point is dumb but fun , I'll go with the 17"s like the back . 16's can go on my xj when it needs tires.

Great looking truck! jamminz.gif I share your goal of building a primarily street use truck with updated elements from newer Jeeps. I put a set of Rubicon wheels on my 88 and they look great - really updates the truck. This week, she gets her 3.5" Skyjacker lift. Can't wait. Look forward to seeing your progress.
