watchamakalit Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 I don't think JB weld alone will do it. Shove some duct tape into it before it cures to add lateral strength and you should be good.
BLHTAZ Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008  Good God man... What kind of vehicle is that and how did you manage to split the t-case that badly?
mfpdm Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008  Good God man... What kind of vehicle is that and how did you manage to split the t-case that badly? Hhmmm, it has a V8 most likely and seeing a side saddle gas tank, I'm think something in the General Motors category. But hey I'm just guessing. I bet that scared the hell out of you when it went.
Pete M Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Also a low-pinion passenger side front axle. Yup, I'd guess a Chevy truck.
IDXJ Posted September 27, 2008 Author Posted September 27, 2008 My son's K20. He was pulling out of the driveway and BOOM!!! Looks like one of the planetaries grenaded possibly. At least he wasn't rolling down the highway.
Drahcir495 Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008  I am so glad you posted pictures. Crazy - Rich

IDXJ Posted September 28, 2008 Author Posted September 28, 2008 I guess this is what happens when you remove the factory t/c brace and wheel it. It never had the brace as long as we have had it so, I'll just blame the P.O.
wooky48 Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Ducktape and bubblegum it'll be good as new :rotfl2: Don't forget the baling wire and staple gun :brows:
