Its not an MJ but :D

Well theres been a new project added to the list

It's my wifes 1971 J2000, The specs are buick 350, TH400 trans , dana 20 Tcase, D44 axles front and rear.

Also for some reason the old owner put a stepside chevy bed on it , but I kinda like the way it looks.

This is gonna be a long term project ( at least thats what the wife says )

Looks pretty cool. But that front bumper has got to go.... And you might modify the stepside box to make it match a bit.

I actually dig that look. $#!&, I should go by the longbox one I know of, cut the frame down, and put a stepside chev box on it. $#!&. I'm gonna be really broke now.

Nope all factory :D the buick 350 was a special option the engine was rated at 230hp in 2barrel carb trim and 285 hp in 4bl trim The one I have is the 4Bl.

I also found out it has 4.10 gears

your wife sounds totally awesome. whats the game plan for it. I've allways loved the way the full size jeeps looked. I really wanted to get a 76-79 j-10 and throw a 401 with a mild cam and edlbrock fuel injection...well thats my dream atleast.

Yup the wifes ok :D She hasent killed me yet after all the toys and money spent

the plan is 6" lift 35's black paint, red interior, custom bumpers, winch and rollbar for the bed, Just the basics for now :D

Well, if you can't have the original thriftside bed, than that is a pretty darn close look for it.

Have lots of fun.

BTW, you southerners all SUCK!!! I am so freaking tired of dealing with rusted parts.

Sweeet  Your gonna lift it to 6''? It already looks like it is lifted?! See if the 35'' will fit as is. Lucky bastid, lol-Rich

It has a 3" body lift and 3" blocks on it now, The front springs are at negative arch or it would be sitting level .

It has 33"s on it now so with a good lift and a 2" body lift it should clear 35's with ease
