  1. i like my grand cherokee rims! little dirty but they are the glod color as well. to bad i am getting rid of them for something with more backspacing..
  2. awesome. looks like i won't have to weld on new shock mounts. go pick up some bolts tommorow.
  3. ahh i see different u-bolts. i found that as high as they are then my shocks are way to long. I would prefer t odo the way you have it. just need new u-bolts.

  5. i did what jojm did flip the plates to the top and reverse the left to right and vice versa.. but my shocks are to long and the fully compress. so i am welding in custom shock mounts. i already have a set around. you don't want to ride on a truck that has no compression. trust me i did it yesterday for 1 mile before realizing how bad no suspension feels on our back.. i had 1 inch of up travel left.

  8. yup i was looking at a v8 1988 they just looked wrong. I didn't even finish pulling them. but man my back hurts today. on top of doing my comanche i helped my friend replace his motor mounts,trans mount wire in a kill switch and so many other things on his cherokee yesterday. I am hurtin. i do need to go back and weld in my shock mounts. tried reversing the ubolt plate but realized my shocks were fully compressing. so not quite done yet.. I'll snap some more pics of the rear end after i mount the shocks and 33's You are all my inspiration for the project!
  9. well, i was going to try the cougar coils but went to pull them and they look narrower than stock coils. so i did the f150 coils. I am going to order 6.5" coils hopefully sooner than later.

  11. Well i did my SPOA and some lift ocils up front.. still need more upfront though. have some spacers to throw Under there. also this is before the 33's that are going to be installed this week.. then the 4.0 4wd conversion in a month or two.. before after
  12. went to the pick a part after work today and found two sets of v8 cougar coils. 50 dollars a set. 25 on wed! gonna get me a set. :thumbsup:

  14. man wish i knew i could convert to external that internal one is a pita seeing how much you have to do for it... external would be a ten minute job!
  15. 8.8s are a dime a dozen down here. I can get one from the local pick a part for 75 dollars. that is a steal!
  16. well i think the 4.0 has to happen reading past posts it looks like a bolt in job on my year comanche. I found on at a pick a part from a 93 xj. its a government xj and runs great. my choice of transmission. 260 dollars motor,trans,transfer case you can't beat that price. i also get all electrics with it. can't even find a 2.5 transmission/tcase. hopefully it will be there wednesday on half price day. they put it out monday morning.

  19. i am tossed about keeping the 2.5 or tossing it when i do the 4wd conversion. I want to turn 33's and worried that even running 4.88 the 4 cyl is going to feel weak. on the other hand i love the gas mileage i get out of it currently.. The manche is a 89 so i have read posts that it will jsut swap in.

  22. i'm with eagle on that. that sounds like 3000 pounds there easy. I used to tow a 24 foot boat with a 4banger ranger but that was .5 mile to the launch ramp and i had to use 4wd to pull back up the ramp.
