bhorocks replied to bhorocks's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
yup was just reading this post. http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopi ... light=dash I do have the 2.5 as well and don't intend on going to the 4.0. looks like alot of work. I'll have to think about it.. Shoulda looked bofore i posted my ambitions! -
Found 4 97-2000ish cherokees at a parts yard today that all have their dashes intact in phoenix. Asked the counter and they want 30 dollars on half wednesday for the whole dash assembly. is it worth it to pull it?? and if so how hard? I know it looks good but i can't decide if i want to do the work so hopefully everyone can help me decide! also going to pull the buckets seeing how they are in great shape! If you live in the phoenix area hit me a pm and i'll tell you where to get em!

right on. I pulled just one shim and it seems to be doing soooo much better. got close to 4 now. Prolly pull the other one this weekend and see what i get. I also pulled the steering stbalizer seeing how it needed replaced also. handled great without it though compared to earlier today.

How to Convert to front leafs???
bhorocks replied to bhorocks's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
well, if it is that troublesome them maybe its not worth it. -
ok, another question.. looks like i can swap a 700r4 from a 2.8l s10 into my 2.5 comanche. mY question is if anyone here has done it how do i run the vacuum lines to allow the transmission to shift? anyone done this? thanks.
-
I am thinking about converting to leaf springs up front. I know a couple people have done it here i am wondering the cost and the street handling. Also how they did thier setup. I am only wanting to match my rear spring over so anywhere around 6 inches would be good. Maybe yj stock leafs. Thanks.

f150 coils. it actually does not ride to shabby. they will be going away next month when i order some new 6.5" coils. I have a pretty good rake up front i want to get rid of so for now i have some spacers i'll put in. i was looking at the coils from the mercury cougar but they didn't look like the right diameter so i passed on them. Like i said i am still hunting the trans/tcase down and hope to come across one shortly. I am also suprised the 2.5 pushes those 33's pretty well.
