Note the independant front end...yuck. Kinc of a dodge shadow/spirit look to it
-
so, that took 5 hours. I've got all day tomorrow to finish up the deed. what's left... front axle rear axle remainder of harness's fuel sending unit MT springs then use the forklift to load it up onto the trailer, and load it with scrap. should get back about $450 in scrap, jake gets his tires back, and I've got a new engine to go in my brother's '88MJ, plus MT springs for the back of the 3800, and a bunch of parts that I don't need. the main point of buying this was for the light blue bucket seat interior for the future restoration of our 2.1 turbo diesel comanche. the rest is just bonus.

Picked up jakewi's 87 mt today...this was jakeman's. Too rusty to fix. Got 5 solid hours in on it, fluids drained, shafts-exhaust-engine-trans-cooling system-harness (es)-tailsand interior are out. Doing glass and axles and treat springs tomorrow then it's off to scrap.. Well party pics once I've got a computer tomorrow.

Diagnosing noise... piston skirt?
JeepcoMJ replied to Dedaw's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
That video sounds like a piston skirt or wrist pin. Any metal in the oil? -
Shocks are something that your average offroad company cannot engineer. Just like coils and leaf springs. Although those get ordered to spec.

Isn't that the basis of most churches? sorry guys but damn, he lost his business, now he's selling his truck I think karma took care of him. I just don't recall this much animosity towards the guy when he was active on here. I hope the CC community doesn't turn on me when I too decide to sell my truck, if and when the day comes. I by no means am defending his actions, but he did contribute to the site and information for various products. Damn I'm starting to sound like a bleeding heart. There better not be more changes like this in my life as I'm becoming a father. He basicallh stole money from members here and elsewhere, and had not admitted fault. You don't know the basis of the issues here apparently. Accountability and willingness to accept responsibility. This is not the first company of his tgat he has done this exact thing with.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jeep-Com ... 3cc9dcd1f1 So, all of you who have recently had issues with Motion Offroad....this is Adam's comanche. he is obviously still alive, and attempting to sell his mj on ebay now. just letting you know, he's around...and not to buy anything from him, least of all his P.O.S. mj that is over-priced.
-
good to go then. of course, that will probably cost you 1/3 of what you bought the truck for...

only if it has disc brakes

One thing I remember from that, is that it ate AX5's for breakfast. If I were going this route, the dakota 2.5 bellhousing and AX15 would be a must have. no, it sipped gas for breakfast, ate ax5's for lunch, and dana 35's for dinner. if I had been a lighter footed driver back then, I would not have had as many issues. live and learn I guess. speaking of...it needs to be back on the road. Jim, if you want to do that swap, fly me out there after the 22nd and I'll give you a hand  . in exchange, I need an 86 mj to drive home to donate it's body to the diesel lol.

October I have swim meets to coach 3 weekends out of the month, the third weekend off, I have to hold practice on saturday and (obviously) cannot miss.
-
In. unless I have a meet. Don't have the schedule yet

I have the same helmet. Only deficiency is that no one ready stocks replacement lenses for it. I have a ton of spares, and can get you the info to order more. nothing compares to the durability of speed glass. Drop it from 20 feet, it's fine save fire a scratch or two. The little side lenses are a nice feature, and they just work fantastic.

Detail Paint for Valve Cover?
JeepcoMJ replied to Zenobian_84's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
How about having someone scan the image and make a raised emblem to put on the valve cover. The tornado vc is cast aluminum btw. I don't know of any vc's that are cast iron -
I'm going with u.s. Cellular. I've had them, and in a cross country trip to california and back, I lost service for about a minute. Only got rid of them because I was sick of blackbery service fees, and wasn't due for an upgrade, plus they didn't have the evo. The airspot thing won't do me any good when I lose reception every other mile in town and the surrounding area. And sprint customer service is absolutely worthless here....they basically go out of their way to not help you. aside from that, the evo is my digital camera, and I haven't found one that comes close to the same mega pixels

Hey all. I'm about to cancel my sprint contract in the upcoming week, because, in ask honesty, sprint service is worthless. Can't have a conversation without dropping the call several times, texts arrive days, even weeks late, and I have to physically go 100yds or more from my apartment in order to get signal. Thing is, I really like my phone. I've got seperate insurance on it, so I'm not worried about transfer on that....but I'm wanting to transfer the phone between carriers. It's an htc evo 4g, with a clear esn once I cancel. Basically, I would like to know where to go to get info on how to get the phone to work on a new service. ,i know I won't get 4g service, but it's not like I do anyways. I'm not interested in a new phone. This one has a nice layout, the screen is big, the keyboard and swype are perfect for my clumsy thumbs. Androids are all similar enough, but I have yet to see one that matches this one for comfort as well as ease of use. The whole layout just makes sense to me, and overall the phone it's one I'm more than happy with. Plus I've already got a water proof case and all sorts of accessories for it, so why start over... Can anyone offer some enlightenment?

Common occurrence with them ....
