  1. yeah, I can't use them anyways since I've got power windows to install... have at 'em
  2. go ahead and bid. I'm not...it's not worth that much to me since I can make my own.
  3. 2 things check your door switches, and also turn the headlight knob to the right. you may have the "interior lights on" function turned on (i.e. headlight switch turned to the left)
  4. watched every episode. me gusta lopez' cabeza
  5. uhm...dibs?
  6. damn I'm watching those...
  7. :D carnage
  8. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=931690 there's a link to doing it, i think without a/c
  9. it won't be fun, but it can be done without yanking the dash. I'd rather yank the dash to do it though personally...then you have all the space in the world.
  10. I dumbed it down. most of the 297 failures I've seen, and as TNT has explained to me, involve the shaft not the ujoint. it's stronger than the 260 to be sure, but you'll probably wreck the shaft more likely than the ujoint with a 297
  11. here's the truck I'll be doing the swap on finger got in the way that's original miles and interior. not too shabby really. gonna be swapped to a non-disco front, it's a d35, 3.55 rear so I'm using the matching front. aw4 auto, np242 t-case. all the parts are coming off my 1990 donor.
  12. my brother just did an OEM system with hi-flow cat and muffler, cost $240 all told. that included down-pipe, cat, muffler, and tail pipe. his header was new when we dropped the motor in the truck.
  13. my windshield wiper fell off the cherokee...I can aim at tailgaters. it's a riot :D
  14. too bright lol no, he didn't find me an adapter...hes just giving me a spare th400 and dana 20 that is intact :brows: so I'll be all set there as for closed knuckle, I'm sorry I don't know much about anything but MJ's and XJ's and volkswagons. what does that mean? good or bad? and why did you flip the rear shackle?
  15. I second all of what ya said wahoo! ...I just got my xj a couple months ago and already put 4000 miles on it.
  16. yeah, but the shaft is no thicker than a normal shaft. so, by getting a 297 shaft, the ears are drilled out more for the larger ujoint caps, and your problem IS no longer ujoint failure, but major shaft failure
  17. nah, keep the original badges. in case you guys hadn't noticed...I have a tendancy to rip them off my MJ's...
  18. you can see how much they actually do light up. the bulbs are the same as your corner marker bulbs and gauge bulbs. you'll need to get the lights and harness from 1989 and earlier if your truck is earlier than 89, or 1990 to 1994 if your truck is a 90 through 92. the harness is different. I have a spare set from 1990 if anyone wants them[/img]
  19. can you take any pics and measurements? I'm doing this shortly.
  20. guys, don't be alarmed, BUT.... I'm actually gonna run badges on it
  21. this will probably be sticking around. we shall see :D but, I'd love to get some parts from him. also, I may need help with body work. you're more experienced than I am at it, wanna help?
  22. yeah, you use the motor and ALL accessories from the camaro. gives you less clutter. problem is you can't use the A/C without cutting the frame...so an eliminator pulley that's pulled in more towards the engine is needed, and custom length serpentine. no biggy really
  23. they stayed on because of open loop, or bypass, on the missing door switch.
  24. front lifts are identical. rears are different. that's due to the different (longer) comanche springs. 3" clears 31's no problem. 10.50's will still rub on turns, 11.50 forget it.
