  1. jerk. :P bring the digi-cam
  2. i just pull mine off and don't bend them. I was born with the tools to do this.
  3. whining under dash sounds like perhaps a engine computer issue.
  4. ah, sorry...it's not the normal sensors that are + ground, i believe it's thefuel tank sending unit which is + ground. or some other wiring thing, i can't recall, but IIRC the wires are switched or something along that line.
  5. you won't be able to operate the 97+ dash and interior electronics (you need the 97+ wiring, and all the 97+ sensors, intake, etc. for it to work. otherwise you're gonna have a heck of a time wiring it all to work. I believe everything 97+ is positive ground. also, the heaterbox, and vents, are different between the two. want to fill us in on your intentions? this seems to be a very vague question you're making.
  6. um. 97+ gauges won't even fit in your dash. 91-96 gauges will. and yes, you just need to grab the speed sensor and connector, gauges, and the wiring in-between if you can.
  7. GREAT TO SEE YA BACK! see you friday :D
  8. finished my front axle today (mostly) all that is left is to tighten the knuckles, then swap the axleshafts over from the 3800's current front axle along with hubs and brakes when I do the lift Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found gotta do the rear. i got side-tracked working on my motorcycle cleaning the carbs (and trying to find a stupid part). i sold it today, and agreed to clean the carbs... :headpop: oh well.
  9. SHIZA dude!
  10. that's real nice, but jebus man...talk about limo tint you don't get ticketed with that?
  11. 1st one is a breather for your vacuum disconnect...leave it be. second one looks like the one for the power steering hose (it's not, but similar). I wouldn't worry about it.
  12. just need to figure out how to make a stub cable between the handle and the rear cables, OR use the cherokee ebrake cable system, or both. it would need some custom work. installing the handle itself won't be hard. connecting it to the rear cables is going to be the hard part.
  13. long block, no intake, no exhaust. of course, those parts can be included and no worries about extra cost. he has all the gaskets for it as well new parts used in rebuild, zero miles on it since rebuild. professionally bored and machined, owner rebuilt. considering a reman 2.5 goes for $1100 with no bore, I figure it's worth half that to be fair...and he's got more than half that that into the motor as is.
  14. a local club member (doesn't make it on here very often) is being forced to sell his MJ... I'm interested in the truck, but not the motor. it is freshly rebuilt with the block bored .030 over. fresh valve lap, head, timing chain, complete rebuild. this is the longblock only. what is the value of this motor, and does anyone need it.
  15. I'd be the guy taking him out slowly. only when a limb goes numb would I stop shooting it. and I'd be grouping at the nerve centers, but beginning with the knee caps and elbows and ending with a shot through the nose or something along those lines. this would be (hopefully) a 20-30 minute process (if he's not a hemophiliac). I figure I should do as Ala apparently commands them, and do unto others as they'd do unto me.
  16. your work makes mine look like crap. beautiful job dude, great attention to detail. you are doing everything i want to do
  17. 4 cylinder 5 speed is an ax5. i blow them up regularly witha motor that's got similar power outputs...so i have to baby them. I'm trying to find an ax15 for just that reason. you need an ax15, or a peugot ba10/5. someone would be willing to GIVE you their peugot i'm sure. as for t-case, it depends on which tranny you have, and whether or not you have the right input shaft. ...on older ax5's, you need a long input shaft, 21 spline. on newer ones, you still need 21 spline, but a short input shaft would work fine. this widens your choices.
  18. ok. my understanding was bulkhead connector. what's a C101 connector?
  19. so long as the trucks have the same engine option (or had in this case), you won't have any issues between 89 and 90 models. of course, there are some who have plug-and-played a 4.0 engine harness to a 2.5 interior harness from the same year vehicle
  20. well... i went down to the shop to work on a couple things before heading up to whitewater tonight so i can work at 9am...and the bug just bit me. i looked at the HUGE dent in my truck and HATED IT end result... Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found so, at 9:15pm, i took a small 1 ton floor jack, and slid it in there vertically so it would push outwards, with a short 2x4 on the head of it. held that up with the 3 ton jack, then jacked outward with the 1 ton jack. after that, I got out the sheetmetal tools, which include my favorite tools (they pick up speed when you chuck them)...body rocks. chunks of steel in all sorts of odd shapes. got everything pretty much smoothed out, and good to go :D. finished it by 10pm :D so...i'm very happy that now all I have to do is strip the bedside completely (front to back...the jerkoff who painted my truck cheated me and used 1 step hardnose paint when i payed for clear coat two step paint job) because the paint cannot be blended, and I have a few other spots on it to smooth anyways. no more huge dent. the kink didn't even stay. here's what it looked like, in case you forgot

    WI emission laws

safety inspection? what's that? :P ...our state isn't really interested in safety, just controlling pollution. i've not ONCE had my truck inspected. this is good, since I don't have an EVAP system in it, and it has a motor that's 10 years newer than what the truck is. if I claimed these things, the truck would be tested at OBD II standards for a 1996 model year camaro 3800, and it throws engine check codes all the time since I don't have a post-catalytic converter 02 sensor (this is an un-necessary sensor) we really should have it though. there are more $#!&ty cars on the road than you can imagine in wisconsin. take this one for instance...
