Lol. Maybe going to have a heart attack from laughter. My post count was generated mostly prior to two years ago...I bet it hasn't been 1000 in the last two.

Your truck is a fantastic machine. I'm glad you're not fixing the rockers every trip any more, and what it has gotten for dings is simply character. It does what it needs to, and does it well. But even if yours was still body perfect, it is twice as built as this thing, and you know you couldn't look a person in the eye and take $10000 for it, just based on the sole fact that you are a good, honest person. The value of these trucks is going up for nice condition, but not for something like this one on ebay.

You can dislike whatever you want..........your comment shows your arrogance....your assuming none dislike your opinion.......careful you might be wrong......again...... Lmfao. I know I'm arrogant, and perfectly ok with that. It's nice, because I no longer am willing to stoop low enough to deal with the low class, or the make-do attitude. Nice not to waste time with people who want to give nothing for something, or value nothing for something. I'm only after fair here. Given my history as well as Incommando's, we know these trucks and that thing is over it's value by the better part of $3000 currently. It is fact. Now, fact is hardly relative to the transaction, but neither is your opinion of how relative the truth of what people do and do not like is. My bet, purchaser is a rich kids daddy, or an old guy who had one once and thinks it is cool. But anyone worth a lick can see what is(n't) there in value.

His opinion is valid, as is mine. The money isn't there, someone will be robbed of their own accord for lack of knowledge on valuation of these tricks. I'm starting to dislike people's opinions being Ill founded, yxmj

Parts from a cherokee will work. The dash cover you need is not a cover...it is one piece with the complete dash assembly. You have to replace the entire dash, and remember to put your vin on the new dash

A header is a mod. He is saying you are very restricted if you stay with 87-90 header, an that you can buy a 91+, easier to find. All you have to do with cheaper 91+ is swap to 91+ downpipe. Btw borla requires a new downpipe as well, and are different between manual and auto

Lose the rack from the brow forward at minimum, but I would drop it at the cab. Takes a lot away from the truck

Can I Use A 89 Head On A 96
JeepcoMJ replied to MuddFoot's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The best priced one i find on ebay is $300 for a rebuilt one. That would be the way I would go, $300 and it arrives on your doorstep ready to install. -

Pay to have it cleaned, lapped, new valve, new valve seats, and resy to go. You are NOT going to be able to just buy a head and drop it on. If it's off, it gets rebuilt. No exceptions to this unless you like doing work twice. -

JeepcoMJ replied to MuddFoot's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Remember, you need new valve seals as well as to lap in the valves, check springs and retainers as well as for bent or worn rockers, and now is the time to check out lifters and push rods. How is it that this 96 head has gone bad. -

Not a big deal. Buy one from a 91 to 96. don't get a 99 to 02 -

No. Not without hours of porting work. You need a head from 91 and up If your putting the 96 block in an 87 to 90, and keeping the renix manifolds and injection, then yes you can do so. Cams are different on renix (87 to 90) than high output and do put out better low end torque -
Don't let the negitive posts discourage you....it has been done before and it can be done again......google it and watch some you tube....you will get lots of tips. Not negative posts at all. They are well informed posts

Without oxy acedaline preheat, you cannot weld a spring perch onto an axle tube and have passable welds with a 110v machine. It may work, but it is not strong. Also, flux core is not the way to do it without skill and training...you need er70s-6 with 25/75 mixed gas. This is the most user friendly combination. Also, a "welder" who says you can just grind it to make it look good is not skilled at welding

layering without penetration on an xrayed piece will fail you every time. Words of a professional welder
-
Mapp gas cannot heat the metal that thick fast enough with the average household torch attachment Layering beads does not equal penetration. You need the most penetration possible on the first pass. The cleaner it is, the better off you are

I don't see the option for the military wrap on their site. What was cost total? -
You have Otis if no menu button

I have a complete set of rear kj discs floating around, everything necessary to convert

Evic has labels on buttons, otis (stock for most 02) has labels on the housing
-
Auto locks can be disabled with a drb3 scanner at the dealer for a simple service charge. Aside from that, getting the correct evic overhead console may allow you to control that....I have tried 14 different evic overhead consoles and can only get the main features to work. Does yours have an overhead at all?

Been around the block enough to see crappy lift companies. Like monkeyboy said....small joints. Length doesn't matter if uca and lca are proportional, but mounting does...and 4 bolts with crush sleeves isnt something I will bet my life on
