  1. You don't want to undertake it. Drop a 3.4 from an early 90s f body in it complete with fuel injection and call it a day
  2. Your sender would not be helpful...the potentiometer mounting is different so it is not useful. He really just needs an 87-90 pump with sender for this.
  3. You didn't, but he was taking about an inline pump, which are loud. And no, reversing wires isn't possible literally much less a viable option. The potentiometer has different pot readings between the 87-90 and 91-92, and again in 96-01. There are only 3 wires; Ground Fuel pump + supply Sending unit wire. The sender wire sends back resistance inputs to the cluster/computer. Reversing the wires ( which would have to be done inside the tank as there are only 3 externally and 4 internally) will peg it one way or the other, as well as frying the potentiometer
  4. There is no bolt on radiator support except for the upper. That can be gotten off any xj. If you mean the front crossmember, which doubles as a radiator support, then it's time for surgery...they are welded in
  5. H.o. Senders only work on h.o. Fuel gauge reads backwards. And inline pumps can't quench heat. In tank can.
  6. No, it would last longer because it's not a prone to failure mechanical pump. And I bet you could get an xj sender, pull the wire and wiring fitting out, swap those onto your 86 sender, and put the xj sock and pump onto your 86 sender. May require you to cut some tube off the stock sender.
  7. I bypassed mine way back when and just left it be. Put a 4.0 or 2.5 sending unit in the tank, run a relayed fused accessory on in start position wire (take the always on with key in off the ignition switch) and put manual fuel pressure regulator on set at about 5 psi. Problem solved.
  8. Just an FYI, I'm not going to sell these parts to you. Pay shipping and a bit for time packaging and they are all yours.
  9. I have all of that, will pull down from shelf in next few days...I am busy starting up the community pool for the next few days
  10. Everything I have is in decent shape....I'm not gonna go taking everything down and snapping pics for a maybe. Make a list of what you need, and I will take down what you need from the shelf and snap pics.
  11. I have a complete bucket seat interior, seat covers are not so great but full factory MJ console and all the rest of the parts, carpet included. What do you need.
  12. And I don't enjoy toxic waste, so I'm good where I'm at.
  13. At least I don't have to live inside your head.
  14. It's all stupid looks. Nice, clean, and with a point. That is how I prefer things. Bumpers according to what you anticipate, rock rails likewise. I don't do anything to "look cool", rather to serve a purpose.

You don't want to get a tattoo without having a 100% rock solid commitment to where you get it. Usually people who should actually get a tattoo and won't regret it, know WHER before WHAT. Don't get it. You will regret it.
  16. 8.8, 44, and 8.25 pretty much have equally strong shafts, bearings, ring, pinion, carrier, and factory spline strength. 8.8 is easily obtained with discs already as well as deeper gear sets. 8.25 is common Dana 44 has the best aftermarket
  17. I think overpriced is a rude term. The aftermarket and used parts availability for the Dana 44 far surpasses the 8.25, and the fact that it is non c clip makes it more desirable for a heavy wheeler. The 8.25 is just as strong, but market price is negligible difference between the two at even moderate pricing vs. the gains you see with the 44 over the 8.25.
  18. All pre 1990 dana 44 and dana 35 are 10" drums on mjs. I hate when I order brake parts for a mid 90s and they ask me size...they are all 9" regardless of axle.
  19. Ridiculous. That is truly stupid to even conceive of the idea, and animal cruelty to use an animals law to smack a ball, even at rest. Breed doesn't matter here, what the dog did was wrong. Would have deserved to be put down regardless. Thanks for sharing don. Cool for sure.
  20. Unscrew. And the springs need to be unloaded at the minimum to do it, but if you don't want them scratched up you need to remove them.
  21. I just plug the return on the reservoir, pull the return off the elbow at the box, hook a longer hose to it, and keep running new fluid through.
  22. A stock unmolested vehicle is ALWAYS worth more than one that's been hacked up. That is worth what he is asking, at least.
  23. I think fame and race play into legal more than anyone is willing to admit. As in, if you're not famous, and you're white...you're going to jail. But if you're famous and/or of any diverse background...you can't help it, it's not your fault.

Stupid is as stupid does. I own liberties....lifted and not...and I would have walked away at "tried to fjord a river". That.....well, do not get involved. Tell him no. Anyone with the money to be that dumb and buy a new vehicle will be first to point fingers at you if he does something wrong.
