In 13-plus years of law enforcement I have run into a few folks who have this very short sighted opinion. I always try to be fair and listen to opposing views, but I'll put it like this: While there are certainly individuals that are comissioned officers that should not be, by far the number that are honest folks trying to do a job outweigh them. Please remember that the next time you call 911 for assistance or do something else spectacularly silly that requires your upper-most appendage removed from your defecator. As a civilian, no matter how "John Wayne" your are feeling it is almost always a bad idea to confront an aggressor (unless you have no choice). As God has given most of us the ability to see and record the details of events that go on around us, it is far better to be a good witness rather then a possible hero....as it is very difficult to relate the facts to the police later if you are dead. it's alot simpler than that. we only see or hear about the ones who screw up, not the ones who do a good job. I only remember the bad experiences with police, not the good. it's because we're a negative society

there is a very nice sounding woman locked inside my magellan ;) GW Bush, Darth Vader, Yoda, etc. etc. were locked in mine. "In tres hundred yards, bear left...but I don't know what kinda bear it is like a grizzly bear or a brown bear..." "you have reached your destification" amazing.

I didn't disagree with how desperate they are, and that cashing in marquee names is simply grasping at straws and inevitably failing. and the title of the thread, as well as the first post, insinuate that an opinion based response is requested.

don, I made a simple opinionated comment. that was the point of this thread, yes? it is what it is. jeep as a brand is embarassing. there has been nothing good produced since 2004, and that's only if you liked TJ's.

had a tractor with a 3 point mounted blade (grader) for sale at the end of my parents driveway when I was 17. came home late one night, there's a pickup there at the end of the driveway. get closer...the grader is loaded in the back. I pulled over with my gf in the truck, told her to stay put, walked over to the thief's truck, opened the door, and took the keys before they even had a chance to react. they were just about to leave. told them stay put, cops will be on the way to pick them up shortly. police show up, ask how I kept them there...I said that I simply took their keys and told them to stay put. Boy, you would have thought I did something wrong...they yelled (literally) at me for being a dumbass and reaching in their car. idiots. at 17 years old, I'm really gonna let someone steal my $500 grader off of my fully restored Massey Harris high crop model 50, that I paid for cash money and restored with my dad. didn't press charges, but let them sit in jail. that was my dad's idea...they were a few years older than me, and after that they came over and helped out doing work at the house for awhile, plus invited me to some decent parties. *shrug*. in general, police or people who supposedly uphold the law are idiots. they pulled my brother over no less than 40 times in his porsche 944...he had it for less than a year, never sped, and it wasn't that loud. it said turbo on the back, so they pulled him over. it was a sports car, so they said the exhaust was loud...it was quieter than my comanche.

it goes inside the steering column. can't remember if it's for continuity for the horn, or if it's continuity for the key buzzer, or both.

I just put my DeLorme usb gps reciever on my CF-48 p4 panasonic toughbook. touch screen, fairly easy to use when you're used to it, and I have all other computer apps as well. $80 well spent, and it updates every time you connect to the internet.

If I have to replace my HO MJ pump, can the XJ be made to work? Or is the MJ pump still available? buy the mj pump. sending units are NOT compatible.

the renix pumps are the same H.O. pumps are different between mj and xj.

the lowest, and biggest pulley which is dead center on the lower part of the motor, just above the oil pan...that is the pulley (harmonic balancer) to try and turn. you'll crank it towards the driver side. if that's the one you tried, the engine is seized...UNLESS you forgot to put it in neutral first.

you live in wisconsin. we have unemployment for almost 2.5 years. I've tried. I lost 1" of head room. cherokee roof lines are 1" lower than comanches, thus the headliner doesn't go up as high in the "dome" of the cab. not worth the wasted time. I took it out, threw it away, and spent $40 on enough material to cover two headliners.

put a decent battery in it and hook it to a charger, let it charge, and try to start it. replace battery wire terminals, clean all battery wire connections. THEN start thinking about whether it's seized or not. ...if you're not gonna test something right, don't do it at all. sounds like you didn't try to hard to get it to turn over on juice (sorry to bust balls...just being honest)

my brother's ended up being too deep when we went to buckets, so we took it back apart and cut 3.5" off the back. Xplod 1100 watt amp, 2x10" alpine 800 or 900 watt subs. I run all Xplod stuff in my trucks...have a very small box with a 10" xplod 800watt and 600watt amp. it's very quick to remove if I need the space, and adds just enough base.

yes, just the motor. I just blew my company 6.5 last fall. 270k on it, 15k in repairs in 11 months. and that is low miles for a diesel. we have a 7.3 ford with 462xxx on it that has only ever needed a sending unit, brakes, tires, and the like. they're junk motors, junk design.

6.5's and 6.2's are JUNK. they don't last long, at all. they constantly break, and we put well over 6,000 in repairs into just ONE of them a year at our shop...multiply that times 3, they're worthless. they don't handle miles and don't run worth a damn.

I don't believe the original post had any of that contained. reguardless...if you're working on cars, all of the tools are necessary. and, $172 is more expensive than it would actually cost.
