do you need shackles??
akamcbird replied to freakjeep93's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
correct me if I'm wrong but don't 90s era fords have shacle less front leaves?? for some reason an f350 is configured this way in my head :hmm: ? -
the rear doesnt rub the front would have if not for the trimming. i just want the rear to match the front aesthetically. the bed is currently without flairs but no metal has been cut.
-
seems like there isnt much info on rear fender trimming, plenty of methods for the front though. any way ive trimmed the front (and hammered the pinch seam...cause i had to) so as to leave just the half inch of flairing stikkn out. this is the look i like, this is how i want my rear to look. my concern is that the bed sides will be as floppy as the front quarters. what is the preferd way to do this style trim? - I6 4x4 - swb - 3.5re front - soa rear(~5") - 33x10.5 - 4.5"bs thnx.

another option would be to use a steering column from an 86 (2.8 with 3speed auto) has a column shift with the indicator on the column.

Anyone Build an MJ Bed Trailer?
akamcbird replied to holeski's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
whats up moose creek! here's a pic of mine workn hard thats whats left of a 90...catchen a ride on whats left of my 86 i just realized ive no pics of my 89 or of my 90 after lift...ile have to fix that ok so the trailer has the uni rails wedged and pulled together and a sweet receiver basket slapped ontop really crapily executed build... but its strong as heman! ive pulled 2000lb loads of gravel, in town a to b runs. as well as ones like the above pictured which ran down the hwy for an hour. i worry more bout the truk breakn before the trailer. -
sorry let me be more spacific my truck still idlen bout 1500 rpm. and after disconecting the tps there is no change even after driven round the block. if the part worked some change could be noticed after unpluging it rite?
-
shud my truk run/drive difernt if i disconect the tps?
