  2. sounds like your speaking about alternator buz??? my old nissan had a little filter atatched to the alt, just a little cillendar 1\2"x1" w\a single wireout one end,now these things are intagrated into the stereo itself...made a world of differance
  3. only one place i know of...but this will cause some debate, best to search rocky road http://www.rocky-road.com/xjsus.html oh and my '90 eliminator has a 44 and no tow package (check sig)
  4. i really like that last idea. and I'm realy trying to get the ak numbers up...there is potential
  5. free tow is the only way to go!!! when you do it as often as i do you get realy good...like a completely dead car at about 65mph. up here the law prohibits free tow on the hwy(not hard to fallow when there are only two hwys and vehicles outside of anchorage arnt usuly capable of passing emisions here). i proly free tow 3-5 times a year...the crapier the vehicle the better...burned amc eagle w\no windows at-15*f, waggy fsj with a t-case that decided to lock up at 45mph, or the 81 suby at 50mph on a 10 ' strap(10' doesnt let you see the strap),a one ton box van towed w\a stratus, then the stratis a year later(charging up the batt is always a good idea, i do like to have hazards when I'm a hazard just to impacent sometimes.
  6. alignment ??? caster can get fubered due to a lower rear...ie. sagging springs??

  20. this accidentally started here http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5653 changing lains into rutts is bad almost flipped my minivan proly 35-40mph no 360 just 180 to the right, 180 to the left, 180 to the right..then i lost count.. only two narrow lains and power poles running down both sides (i was hoping it would just tip so i didnt hit one of the poles or suport lines)but i guess the weight of about $12000 in tools kept it upright. got it off the street and just about pissed myself, the guy i was fallowing said from his rear vew he thaught it should have flipped

  24. maybe jut a sticky to keep it small then if needed a chapter could request a new forum section being in AK this would help alot i know there are a few of us here and i know that number could be expanded. the wheeling forum i hardly check as i can't attend any events and have no frame of referance on most of the locations mentioned i think the wheeling forum does a decent job for those of you in the lower 48 (no offense just an AK term) , but deviding into chapters might just be to much, possibly alienating nonlocal members (day ja vooo i think this came up on an amc forum a few years back...any hoo) i do like the wheeling forum very open to all just wish there was a place more dedicated to those outside the norm cause i doubt anyone else "outside" check the posts there either
