  1. It won't have a note on it. Insurance won't be bad due to a cash purchase and only state minimum insurance. I'll fix my own $#!& if I wreck it. I'm trying to keep it real. I won't leave the mj outside to rot away. Id rather sell it to another than leave it stored outside again. I don't have room to store it inside. And here is a picture for you @minibeast
  2. Currently a 14ft popup. Which is on the larger size for a popup. The mj and wj handle it well enough. Just can't see around it. I have a set of mj tow mirrors just havent committed to drilling holes in the doors. Id sleep in the back of the mj myself but the wife......
  3. After back to back road trips, first one in the WJ second in the MJ. I have come to realize that maybe its time to give up on the the MJ being a daily driver and buy a newer full size truck. The wife and I have really taken to the camper and will be pulling it or possible a travel trailer around for a fair amount of the foreseeable future. It is impossible to see around the pop up camper even with the wj let alone the mj. Money is not a factor in this decision as I have the funds to buy a suitable truck cash outright. So the decision becomes what will I be happier driving long term. I have owned several MJs over the years and kicked myself every time I sold one. That said I can't justify the space to store a truck I am only going to use weekends and fun rides. I have a CJ that has been neglected by me for too long as my attention has all been on making the mj capable of dd status. If I buy another truck I will most likely sell the mj and devote the tinker time to the full resto my CJ so desperately deserves and it will become the wheeler/ weekend cruiser rig. My dilemma is basically all personal preference but I am seeking some advice from those that understand my love for these little trucks. I would love to be able to keep and fully restomod the MJ but just can't justify it and the CJ if I have a newer truck to drive. And before any one thinks of suggesting it the CJ aint going anywhere. I will NEVER part with my first Jeep. So if you were in my shoes, what would you decide?
  4. He is going to find more rust free beds for those of us who missed out this round.
  5. Umm I hate to be the bearer of bad news but your suffering short bar syndrome. Consult your local husqvarna dealer for the cure.
  6. I hope I didnt sound like I was trying to talk you out of it. I enjoy a little mud work from time to time. Its a good skill to have in the bag.
  7. FYI. New/inexperienced guy on a Crete crew is NOT an easy job. Depending on how the boss and crew operate it can be a very physical job. don't think its just pour and sit back to watch it dry.
  8. We just had a similar issue with a fairly new (within 2 yrs) caliper on a friends excursion. New caliper solved our problem. Not saying its yours but wouldn't say its impossible.
  9. I agree. But I doubt that one sees much "truck" use.
  10. Make it a modular removable system so you can clean underneath.
  11. https://www.somernitescruise.com/sitepad/ Anyone else gonna happen to be there? I'm close by and have plans to be there in my mj.
  12. Looks to just be an overlay on Top of the existing bed floor.
  13. Sooooo is your the physically shorter shifter?
  14. Well crap. I thought mine was a tj. Top of my shift knob is about even with the bottom of the radio
  15. If it is the short shifter for xj/mj I am interested. I have a tall (tj?) shifter in mine. They interchange, don't they?
  16. Welcome. And awesome find. That's a well optioned truck.
  17. Thats sloppy. I put a zip tie through the mounting screw hole and zipped it to the coolant tank bracket.
  18. True. Where would j buy vacuum hose? Any parts atore should have bulk spools. Just ask them for as many ft as you need.
  19. He mentioned vacuum lines so I assume he is refering to the canister. But either one could be relocated there. I think vacuum hose is cheaper than wire.....
  20. Yes that is correct to my knowledge. MT=longbed only (from the factory)
  21. Nice truck. Just be aware, plowing with it will speed the rust 10x
  22. I see, guess I misunderstood. My apologies Th truck my axles and 4wd parts came from was an MT. If I was aware at the time I would have snatched the springs too.
  23. That's false. My d44 came from a 4wd truck.
  24. Doing really well. Needs back brakes and rotors, they are warped(go figure). It was a temporary driver till I finished the mj now the wife stole it and is continuing to drive the wheels off it. Lol
